Are centipedes bad for my plants?

Hey all, I was just checking on my girls in the tent and I saw a nasty centipede run across the floor and it was too fast for me lol I moved everything around and tried to find it but the little bastard is gone! So does anyone know if they will eat my plants or do any damage? I know the nasty buggers are good for eating spiders and such but I just don't want them to eat my plants, they just started flowering and are gorgeous! That centipede was freaking huge and I haven't noticed any bite marks or anything so hopefully they don't like pot! If anyone knows anything about this it would be much appreciated. Thanks! =)

Here's a bit of copy-n-paste to make you feel a somewhat better.

Centipedes are a predominantly predatory taxon. They are generalist predators, which means that they have adapted to eat a variety of different available prey. Examination of centipede gut contents suggest that plant material is an unimportant part of their diet although centipedes have been observed to eat vegetable matter when starved during laboratory experiments

I would let lady bugs crawl all over me but I'll be damned if I would let one centipede get even close. That is major creepy to me, not to mention they are poisonous.

They are not going to stay on the plants; they will be crawling into the rest of the house, into the bedroom when you are sleeping, then into your ear to lay eggs and when the eggs hatch the larvae crawl up into your brain and start munching on your brain cells, eating their way to the core of your brain.

I think somebody saw Rod Sterling's "Caterpillar" one too many times.

Ugh so terribly creepy! I hate centipedes, totally not cool with them and they really do creep me out horribly. My husband killed another one yesterday. I'm sure there are lots in this old ass house, we have an outside michigan basement and whenever it rains my basement floods so I'm sure there are a bunch down there. I just wanted to make sure that one wouldn't munch on my babies! I know they are hard to get rid of but I'm going to go to the dungeon (basement lol) and sprinkle borax all over the floor which kills them I've heard. I also grabbed some ultrasonic plug in things that are supposed to repel bugs so hopefully that helps! Thanks potpimp for totally giving me the heebeegeebee's lol don't even know how to begin to spell that! Thanks for all the advice everyone!

Borax works great for roaches too so you might not need the plug in thingys; they never worked for me anyway.
