US Government Monitoring Facebook for Federal Reserve Protests

On June 22nd this man decided to hold a last minute End The Fed rally on Wall St. When he got there about 40 police were waiting for him. He organized the rally on facebook but was the only person to show up.


Are they expecting something? Whos the real boss?

they were just talking about new policies in london. they want to be able to shut down "social networking sites", in the future, to prevent what just happened. they want control over a "KILL" switch.

its not really possible especially if you just know a tiny bit about the internet you can avoid such blocks easily, same thing in the US they try to say that they can make a kill switch but its impossible, It would be possible for them to cut us from the rest of the world but it'd be pretty hard to cut us off from each other. The only way is if they subpoena all the major internet providers they could cut off A LOT of people but still not everyone. even then Its thousands of companies, not going to happen. Especially when they are busy fighting terrori....errmmm protestors..

I mean if you really think about it we have all these wireless providers now....and even then we could still dialup to mexico or whatever on our old laptops with 56k modems as an absolute last resort lol :)

Even if they did all that and somehow shut down all wireless singals by some miracle....we will still be connected to each other on the network, anyone can setup an "ISP", my phone can act as an isp shit, I'd just have to install bind, pretty much you can't kill the internet, maybe that is why people relate the internet to al gore, it can't be stopped, and it won't stfu, no matter what, myself and thousands of computer programmers like me would setup free internet for our neighborhood as fast as you can snap your fingers.

:shock: Dude internet can be cut and will be done in times of revolts or so called revolution...If you think for one minute that you and your buddies can overcome this you need to rethink your programming skills again...They will start with phone lines, servers, INTERNET provider and last if need be your fucking power...and of course you know who controls phonelines...No phone lines or power..you have no fucking INTERNET

You actually think the people will let them take away their voice.

That in itself is reason enough to riot and protest.

They can't cut Wireless wires. Don't forget that if they shut down everything they themselvers are in a world of hurt. Police and Government use phones and internet also. Hell if you really want to, go to the store and buy up all those handheld radios and use those. See if the gubbermint can shut down radio signals too.

They can't cut my power, not unless they can stop the Sun.

All the government would need to do is shut down the national internet hubs and jam the wireless frequencies. You're crazy to think they can't shut down the internet if they really wanted to.

who controls satellites (wireless)??? An AWACS ACFT can shut down a freaking city or region if need be and still keep communication as needed....yeah lets see you provide internet service because they can't cut off your power..you will be easily located..and locked up..

Arrested for setting up a Wireless Network? That is pretty much a reason to riot by itself, talk about Big Brother tactics...where you from? North Korea or something?

Nope... for setting up internet service providing information to riot...I don't see any reason to riot..I see a reason complain and vote people out of office, but to riot and revolt..nope don't see it..

Noone would setup an internet service to specifically arrange a riot...but you could setup small scale wireless infrastructure around your neighbourhood for example with the right know how to share information. There's ALWAYS a way and its 100% legal...its one of the few freedoms we have left.

Wouldn't have to be wireless either, london is saying they can jam the signals, which is questionable, but you could use cables, but yea I don't think people are that worried about the internet if we ever got to that point lol

Yeah, the Navy is going to send up a EA-6B Prowler equipped with ALQ-92 communications jammer, ALQ-100 multi-band track breaking system, and five ALQ-99 tactical jammer pods and jam all communications cuz some guy in Small Town, USA has a wireless setup. I could imagine more wasteful things, but really doubt it would happen.

Hey EA-6B cockpits have the windscreen made of gold. True; its pounded so thin you can see through it. Its used to keep the 3 people on board the Jet safe from all the high powered electronic countermeasures energy that would normally make the plane a flying microwave.

Maybe the Air force would instead Send up one of its C-130 Compass Call planes to jam him? What you think London?
