a good way to make sure is to pick one "sack" off, smush it between your fingers, if you get powder its male, if you get an un-developed seed its female
dont do it too much though because it can stress the plant

this is true, they need to mature before they produce pollen
but you wont find an undevelpoed seed either

Topdress with b&b /old manure , not sure if weve really had enough rain to be giving extras, few of mine have excelled in the last few days with all this rain

anyone ever found a dead drowned plant from too much rain?


remember to go heavy on the blue slug pellets, the rain degrades them.

Well i chopped the lemon last night, left some little lower buds on it and got 49g wet, any one guess a dry weight from that. The nugs are lovely and tight.

rule of thumb would be 1/3 of its wet waight, so maybe about 16 - 17 grams

Any of you fellas have any experience with the Vents TT inline fans? I got 1 with the rest of my gear up at bloomandgrow cause it was the only type they had in the size I wanted. I'm wondering whether I should purchase a vortex fan or similair and keep the TT as an emergency backup cause I've heard since I bought it their a bit crap. It'll be cooling a couple of 600w's as well as extracting through a filter.

I have one, it works awesome but its a little loud. What size is it? Cos it sounds like your expecting alot from it, also if the ducting/filter/light seals arnt PERFECT the smell could leak into the airflow bypassing your filter.

Im pretty sure your lights and room are supposed to be cooled seperately.

Its the 6" one. I got the fan, filter, 2 600w lumatec ballasts, 2 powerplant bulbs, 2 air cooled reflectors (not cooltubes) and some ducting. I've decided to set up a 200x200x200cm tent inside the 8ft x 8ft insulated shed to give me more control over environment and dampen noise from fans outside the tent etc.

This is pretty much the set up I'll have inside the shed except my whole airflow set up will be straight with no bends.
