Nute burn or Light Burn

I need help and I am a first time grower, so I am fully expecting to make some mistakes.

Do you think this is light burn or nute burn? what's up with the curling inward and the twisted leaf?

quick facts
400W HPS 24/7
approx 3rd week of veg
watering every 2 / 3 days
light was about 6 inches away

about a week ago got high and feed with Miracle Grow (my bad!)

not much other nutes, some composted Chicken shit when planted and a little on top. I have used it for lots of other plants (legal) both indoor and outdoor, so I am not too worried about that.

BTW about 3 days between the two set of pics, same plant

Looks like nute burn on lower leaves and the leaf curling on edges is from the light being too close. You need to flush with two or three gal. of fresh water, miracle gro and chicken shit= way too much nitrogen.flush and get some quality nutes and you should be fine. just my opinion.....good luck

nute burn, man

feed it lightly in the future, its better to give less than too much, thats what i do 1 time a week

just to add this, i am new to growing aswell. but i noticed you say your in the 3rd week of veg using a 400watt hps? now why are you using a 400watt hps to veg? hps bulbs are mainly red light spectrum for flowering , Mh (metal halide) are mainly blue light spectrum for veg. both these bulbs give off alot off heat, MH more than HPS. i use a 600watt HPS for flowering but i tend to use a 250watt CFL (compact florescent lighting) for veg.. this is cheaper to run than a MH and cooler so you dont need all your fans going either ... also try 18/6 18 hrs off light is more than enough, 'think' we never get 24 hr days do we? try to keep it natural for the plant. you can even go as low as 14/10 to mature your plants before flowering . another technic would be to start your 1st 2weeks of flowering with your MH as this reduces the 'stretching' of the cannabis plant as would happen in the 1st 2weeks using a HPS . it depends if your limited on height like i was, so these tips may help as if they run out of space like mine once did then it can be an expensive mistake . not to mention the stomach turning effect you get when you've burnt all the tops of lady's THE STRONGEST + NICEST PART ! ! !
hope this can help anybody .

i just loaded your pictures.....
1st photo is way too much light, notice it bleached .. the plant is called bleached as it loses its colour . then i see is got some colour but burnt eges.. a plant will always begin to burn at the tips , a good sign to give just plain water or i treat it to bottled water from the shop lol jus to say sorry :) sometimes wen you repot and then feed. the new soil has enough to keep it going for 3-4 feeds.
i take a wild guess and say because it was bleached (lost colour) you thought it wasn't getting is food and overfeed it? because on the last picture notice how dark it has changed ? this is way tooooo much nitrogen dude... check your N/P/K levels . everything - water, soil, nuts all contain N/P/K .

HPS has quite a bit of the blue spectrum and is very good for growing plants even from day 1. MH is indeed better than HPS for growing, but it's definitely possible to grow with hps and get great results, I've done it with my 400w.

oh ok, i hav never tried this. i try to keep nature 'natural' , i use a 125watt CFL for seedlings clones, this is a white light(start of spring) and loses the risk of bleach or burn, then i use a 250watt CFL for rapid growth (veg) this is to represent the sun when it closer to the earth and is a white + blue spectrum. this grows your plant short and stocky not tall and skinny . i admit a 250watt MH would give better stronger growth as it contains more blue spectrum but the CFL is cheaper and cooler. Then the final stage is a 600watt HPS as we kno is to represent the sun when its high in the sky in summer with a mainly red and white spectrum with a little blue. some growers may introduce a blue CFLduring flowering (as i have before) but be careful. you need to divide the red by 3 to get your recommended blue , ie 600watt /3 = 200watt blue .
i have tried many things and also my friends experiment too but i believe that there is no written 'right or wrong' way, if your happy with your results then by all means smoke happy my friend . this is only my opinion and my bitches love it. i'm growing weed that i used to only see in films lol.
hope this can help anybody .
