Ok folks,

I woke up came down to check my girl and was greeted with her wonderful scent...lol. She isnt even flowering yet and she smells soooo good. I topped her for the last time. I now have four main colas at least that I am working with. If all continues to go well and she makes it to the finish line.

Took some pictures of before and after the topping. One of them is of her little head lying all alone. Poor girl. If she does well, I will more than likely start a 12/12 light schedule on day 28. I havent gotten any feedback on whether or not I should transplant or if I should put her into a total dark period before starting a new light cycle. If I dont get any then I will use my gut and do what I think at the time. Enjoy!

Thanx for visiting my grow, I'm sub'd here as well. Beautiful looking plant! Sorry can't answer your questions, I'm a noob grower too. I topped mine and have the same red spot from where it was cut as I see in your pics. Just noticed it today and came here and saw it on yours, made me feel a lil better :) Your NL looks a lot bushier then mine. Where did ya get your beans from? I kept my light right on top of em so don't think that was the cause, maybe a different pheno? I hear ya on the smell, I'm luvin it, wife don't smoke and she even kinda likes it. Is it a real sweet smell with just a hint of orange or something citrus like? K gotta go rub a leave again, lol.. Happy Growin!

Everything's lookin' good!

Couple people say a extended dark period does jump start the flowering process but it's still pretty debated from what I've read. Won't do any harm either though so if your curious try it out.

If you do decide to transplant I'd do it asap and give a couple days before changing the light cycle so your not inducing too much stress. But if your concerned about size you should see some of the party cup plants out there lol! Just have to water way more often if she gets cramped.

Thanks Potent..

I think I may just do that..giver her 24 hrs of darkness before I switch to 12/12. As for transplanting..I think I will leaver her be. Those a decent enough sized pots and she isnt huge. I have seen the party cup grows etc and I am sure this plant will be ok. I check her soil moisture level each morning and in the afternoon also. That way if I need to water, I still have a few hours of lamp time left after I water. I seem to have heard somewhere that watering right before lights out isnt a good idea. probably because the plant is sleeping and not utilizing the water the way it would if it were getting light.

Nothing new today. I took off a few lower fan leaves that werent getting any light and had skinny little stems. Gave room for the flower sights to get more light.

Ill post more as this moves along. Ill probably put her in the dark tomorrow and then switch light schedules on Monday.

Then the wait begins..lol. The seed is feminized from Nirvana..Ill be upset if she ends up a boy.

Peace,

Arch

Yeah TohToh....Im stoked so far. Its kind of become an obsession..hahahaha. In my defense it is my first grow, so in a weird sort of paternal way, I am very protective. Im sure that once i get a cycle going , I will chill out a bit.

I tied off a few more flower sites to make them grow outwards instead of upwards and it seems to be working well. I will be posting some pictures tomorrow of whats up so far. I have a few large fan leave that are blocking some nice undergrowth and I was wondering if it would stress the plant to much to take on in particular off? Leaving room for what look to be potential flower sites to take more light.

Ill take a pictrue of it tomorrow and maybe someone can chime in and help me decide yay or nay.

Thanks for taking a seat...your just in time to see the beginning of the 12/12 light cycle start.

Thanks CD!

Hey man. Do you think I can get away with removing a few or maybe even just one of those big fan leaves? I want to expose what appears to be several more flowering spots to more light. This would prety much make the whole plant flower central..lol.

Ill do some pictures tomorrow.

yeah bro, just one or two though, but dont go crazy trimming those leaves off, the plant needs those leaves to do its thing.

Right on...there is only one that I was focusing on for sure. There is plenty of new growth under it that I feel will take its place.

Thanks

Ok..more teaser pictures to cause full expectation of some decent bud porn to come..lol.

She has done well since the final top and is growing nicely. Found a few spots of light nute burn so she is going to get backed off of them for the next two waterings.

They are dark green and possibly not to easy to see, but I have some plant wire ties going on for some minor lst action. Just to keep her pointed in the right direction when she grows more.

After careful consideration and some awesome input regarding whether I should go or not go into at least 24 hours of darkness before switching to 12/12 cycle, I believe that I will do it. Looks like possibly Thursday. I want to get at last one full water without nutes into her before I do it. Forgot to mention awhile back but my ass is lucky in that the tap water here averages a ph of 6.2-6.7. Whew. I still test it before I use it.

Peace,

Arch

p.s. If you see this Concord. The first picture, its the big fan leaf on the left side that I want gone. There are two flower spots under it that can benefit nicely. So that side can look just like picture four.

dam, that leaf is huge!! LoL. you can cut the leaf in half to open up that area, like leave the stem and just a little bit of the leaf. real nice man!!

maybe try tying that leaf back...you likely see some undergrowth if you just pull it outta the way, maybe tie it to the edge of the pot.

Hahahahahahahaha..yeah this little plant has some huge ass leaves. I kept the lights, being that they are cfls, really close to the plant from seedling and I think they are some form of mutant by product. There are four total like that. I also noticed after looking at some other cfl grows that the ones that left the lights farther away had longer node spacing. This plant is barely 6 inches tall and has four very seriously developed nodes. It may end up being one gigantic bud...lol. I ended up tucking it back and gave the flower spot under it some light and it is starting to grow past it.

Once it gets into flower and gets taller, I will have more to work with lst wise and I may end up getting rid of the lower fan leaves because I have a feeling that this whole main stem is going to want to flower.

Just checked in on my plant a few minutes ago. She is taking off. Those flower sites are moving on up and all I had to do was fold part of that leaf behind it. Now it gets all the light it wants. I see more and more of them starting up and in the essence of being patient I will probably giver her until next week to change light cycles.

Just stopping in, nice bushy girl you have there! The lights look good, look to be about the perfect distance! It really matters in flowering when you get those cfl's right up next to the bud without burning it of course :)
