yea those reasons are fucking retarded. Their logic is the feds can still get you so lets keep it so the local pd can too, yea that makes sense!?
prop 19 is flawed in the first place...so why vote it in especially if the feds have went on RECORD saying they will go after those under prop 19 for possession, cultivation, etc. why? what sense does that make? im pretty sure the average voter isnt aware of this in the first place anyways...so those saying vote yes on 19 are really the ones trying to fool people.
idk what yes on 19 hopes to accomplish when the feds are basically letting you know right now that voting yes will simply be a waste of time.
thats why i believe legalization MUST happen on a federal level...otherwise the feds will just keep stepping in...so all these states aren't going to be able to legalize on a state level (as i predicted because it will allow safe zones for criminals to operate...ie cultivate in cali and take it to other states where its illegal for a bigger profit, etc)
besides all the bs with the feds its still a horrible measure...if they advertised prop 19 for what it really is then i bet this race wouldnt be so close. its really just a legal formality for big commercial businesses to take over the market...like phillip morris (cig maker) who was questioned about if they are planning to grow marijuana crops...(its been rumored they bought land strictly for this purpose)...and guess what? they declined to answer...you only decline to answer in a situation like this if its true as going on record to deny that wouldn't hurt their business...but saying yes may...or may bring more competition to them.
i hope it doesnt pass...those rich cig companies dont need any more $$$ then they already have in my opinion (especially with cigs being $7+ per pack these days).
to lower i use lemonjuice, limejuice, vinegar. to raise i use baking soda, oystershells ,eggshells, crushed coral or driftwood.
thank you for the tip as well.
if you don't want to see people vote based on lies, then you shouldn't direct them to that website full of bs.. Let them make their own decision.
i can't just sit back and watch the people of california make a horrible decision. prop 19 just benefits the people at the very top and bottom of the food chain...everyone in between gets cut out...only occassional/casual smokers and big business benefit in the end...not you or i....nor the community...id like to think we are not as dumb as the authors of 19 think we are. i refuse to vote yes and fall for this trick...its just a legal loose end to tie up (prop 19) so they can set up shop and run the market...making the consumer its bitch.
you can waste your time and vote yes on 19 but just remember what the feds have went on record saying...so even if it passes it will be shot down in the end...feds get the last say on a measure like this.
It does seem like a recipe for disaster, it just does. If Proposition 19 passes while the CSA still dictates that cannabis is a 'Schedule 1' substance and thus any possession, sale, or cultivation is still federally illegal and a pretty damning offense...what do you suppose is going to happen? When the Attorney General and so-called 'Justice' Department in our 'land of the free' has made it loud and clear that if we don't like the law and go about changing it- well it doesn't fucking matter because the federal government said so.
So when P19 'passes' and later on down the road some poor schmuck obtains the permits or whatever for his 'legal' commercial cultivation operation so that he can help to provide cannabis for adults 21 and older... well what do you think is going to happen to him and his 500 cannabis plants, and all of his money and personal property? And what do you think is going to happen to your average law abiding, legal cannabis providing citizen- and all of their money and personal property? Feds are going to have a fucking field day.
More of these resources from the 'legalization' community could be put to better use, first assuring that nobody is going to be imprisoned or loose their rights and privileges for simple possession. A state-wide decrim measure, while not 'ideal' would have much less impact and and face less resistance. Before cannabis can actually be considered fully legal, and before we can achieve any actual freedom- we need to send a message to our federal representatives, officials and agencies reminding them where they're from, what role they are supposed to play and who pays them. We need to amend the CSA and deschedule cannabis or else assign it a lower schedule and leave it up the States on an individual basis to determine the legality of cannabis. In order for this to happen we need 268 members of congress to agree that cannabis should be legislated at the state level. We need these 268 members of congress to severely limit the authority of the DEA to persecute the innocent, including medicinal and recreational cannabis users- or else loads more of us are just going to get screwed.
exactly. the feds are gonna make the biggest busts in history and the growers wont even realize it until its too late as their business will be conducted in plain view.
its sad people have read this and are still walking around saying, "vote yes on 19" ...my response is, "for what?" because they are just going to nip it in the bud anyway (no pun intended).
im not giving big business another avenue to get rich either...
