Question for Subcool and Experienced organic soil growers ?

Little about me before I get started on my question..

I'm an Oregon medical caregiver/grower for 4 ..so 24 blooming plants,6 to 8 1k lights,so 3 or 4 plants per light..have good control over my environment ,it's NOT a sealed room ,so it has in and out vents..I have an a/c ,dehumidifiers and humidifiers ect..

My current grow methods are simple ,a quick overview of what I do now before I ask the questions

#10 pots filled with rockwool
DutchMaster Gold A&B base nutrient
Cal-mag as needed
Hygrozyme

I use vertisontal reflectors with 1k lights ,each one covering a little over a 4ft by 4ft area

one of my staple strains has been the UK Cheese ,but I have a list a mile long of others I've ran in the very recent past ,and more to come in the future, some great offers on clones of some TGA gear

plants get vegged under T5's for 6 weeks with mild training, then get transplanted into the #10 pots and vegged for a week or so under the 1k's before going into the 12/12 bloom cycle ..

I water/feed once everyother day by hand and run the system drain to waste

So that gets me 2 pounds+ of bud per light very consistently ,that's all heady chunks not including the lower popcorny flarff that's great for making bubble hash and so many other things..

That's as short as I can explain what I am doing now, which now takes me to the question

Can organics and soil produce the yields I get with wool and salt based ferts ?

What I would like to do is grow organics ,with out the sacrifice if yield !

I understand quality vs quantity ,and am looking for a solution of improving quality without sacrificing quantity ..

Is that possible ,and if so what would be the basic recommendations for me to change how I grow, and get me moving in the right direction ?

Is it as simple as changing my medium and using the Subcool super soil mix and watering ?

what recommendations do you have ?

I have been growing for many years, but have always stuck with what I know

I do understand that in general organically grown smoke is superior ,but the question for me is how do I get started and how much yield am I going to give up to do it,or am I ,I am hoping none! maybe wishful thinking on my part,or maybe not..

Thank you for any and all thoughts and input on the subject !

The idea here is not for someone to say ,(in my deepest voice)"Your gonna lose exactly .53 P's per light by running organics/soil vs your current chem-fert/wool combo" ..LOL..

I read my post back and it didn't read back as I thought I wrote it,or meant..

"maybe" better stated here

I am more curious of your take on indoor soil vs hydro mj growing << maybe there is an article on that already ?

Subcool ,one of the most respected names in the industry, your the guy rock'n the old school organics, that's why I ask you the question ..honestly man,you gotta see what goes on with the internet here,a guy tosses up a thread in a general area asking the question I just asked and I'd be lost in minute..I get lost reading all the jibber jabber, trying to sift through fact vs myth

I rather not walk into this venture blind

I plan on dedicating 2 lights and 6 plants
some big smart pots,or BIG containers,maybe 15-30gal ,I'd have to measure them,but the largest ones I can use and fit 6 in a 4ft X 8ft area or 5X9
Those smart pots/containers filled with Super Soil

Maybe there is a thread put together on how Subcool grows indoors <<point me there!

I've read hours and not found what I'm looking for ,so I'd guess I'm not looking in the right area..

Thanks,OregonMedGrower

Whats a vertisontal light? I'm not really sure what you want to know but I run organic and I usually always hit around 1.25 grams per watt(total not every 30 days) so if your only getting 2 p's a light I'd say you could easily maintain your yeilds. From what I've seen of your plants you seem to know what your doing, your Killer Queen is sick bro.

Good Luck!
Soil won't compete with Hydro in speed or yields at all.
The main difference is the rate of veg growth which in Hydro is staggering.
I played with Organic Hydro in the 80's but its a PH nightmare.

Many stores are reporting record numbers of people buying the ingredients for my soil recipe people like the ease and the consistency of there end product.
I have multiple friends who grow my same gear in Hydro set ups and they pretty much kick my ass on yields.

This guys knows what he is taking about.
I added this stuff called oxycal to my dirt mixture and it kicks ass. It is an oxygen and calcium supplement. The ones i put the oxycal in are more mature and bigger. I can only imagine what you would get if it was a hydro setup. Oxygen!! Areoponics sounds good for those reasons.
Soil sucks. If anything get a soilless and feed Probloomblend. Make sure you mix your dirt good with oxycal and perlite, promix. Also add rare earth ,wormcasting bat gauno. Its an old school recipe.Make sure you add alot of perlite since its a heavy mix.
Also Organics are better in raised beds because the roots get alot bigger than in pots and you can amend it more.
I used Soilless mix and feed chems alone and then week 4 i take away "grow" and add pureblend pro bloom.
I got given a killer recipe for raised beds. From an older timer.

Vertisontal is just the type of reflector I use,I've used 10 or more ,and it's my favorite..looks like a parabolic china hat,but the bulb sits horizontally ..and thanks for the compliment and vote of confidence ..Here's that KQ again ,just for the folks that didn't get to see her ,I'll attach a couple pics..It's LoneStars cut of KillerQueen

And also for Subcool, BigWreck ..trainwreck mom & bigbud dad, been around the PDX area for last 10yrs or so,heard it's in Nor-Cal making rounds now..not anything like either of it's parents ,but damn is she a special something..story went, she was an accident ,some one popped a couple beans, out came this gem..end of story..lol..copious amounts if resin, very few come close,I have personally not had anything in my garden that did anyhow..but seen a few JTR pheno's that stack it thicker !

I thank you very much for the reply ! I've heard about your soil mix from multiple people that have great experiences with it both new and experienced growers alike..

For the Oregon medical scene I thank you..

I just needed to hear organic soil vs hydro from the man himself ..appreciate your reply ..I still plan on dedicating 1 light and 3plants for starters ,and move on from there,I'll be back with pics when I do!!

Organic Hydro, seems the nutrient companies have been trying..I have yet to see a dialed mix that works as well as salt based ,or will atleast be consistent ..so I'll wait, new stuff comes out all the time

cap this thread off with some bud pics ..

thanks again ,always on the quest for better dank ,OregonMedGrower

have you considered goin with coco? im still workin on my mix right now, but im gettin pretty close to not having to feed my plants at all. i havent mixed nutes in about 2 months and all my ladys look nice and green.

heres my mix as of right now. this isnt perfect, but its getting there.

2 50l bag of canna coco
1 40lb (1 cu ft) vermiblend
1 21l. higromite
1 1.5 cu ft roots organic 'greenfields' mix
2 cu ft fine perlite

pretty much all i have to do is give them a guano tea sumtime in flower. next time imma mix up 2 blends, one like this and the other just like it with the addition of high P guano. still gunna need to add molasses thou, but that would be it. ill keep ya posted on my results.
