You think it would be ok to take a couple plants out to show my brother in law if its only for a minute or two during lights off? Never done it but he really wants to see them.

in my opinion and from what ive read and experience wise, i would say the only bad thing about it is showing your plants to people (even though your paranoid dosn't mean they don't follow you:P)

as for lighting, i dont thing 5min of light will do anyting, an if you want to be sure, just dim/turn off the lights in the room leading to the growroom/box ;)

you never know what might throw your plants into shock and herm them. i'd say showing someone your plants would be one of the last reasons you'd want to for them to go south...

Go out to your local nursery, or hydro store and grab on of those green cfl bulbs.

Plants cant see green.

Then you can check'em out anytime you want. ;-)

apparently someone has been reading a couple of basics, and not the posts where skilled growers have answered this before (Yeah i did a little browsing on the forum to help out) A little light for a minute or two will not fuck it up! but its far from recommended bongsmilie

EVERYONE HERE apparently forgets that this is one of the thoughest plants on the planet? if in nature there where a bolt of lightning, do you really think every tree and plant would be fucked up by the light and stop flowering?

well I have re-veged a plant before and it took 3 weeks of 18 hour a day light for it to happen

I look at mine with a flashlight all the time never had a problem (or a hermie)

I didnt say he has never seen them dude, you assumed he never did. Shouldnt assume things. He has been with me since day one. His schedule is way different from mine and this was the only time he could come down and check them out. Its been about 3 weeks since he seen them and i really wanted to show him.

p.s. I dont know about your grows but three weeks in flower can really change the plants....dramatically.

Come on, one bolt of lighting may only last a couple of seconds but lighting storms could last for a long time... up to an hour.
