:shock:HAHA!! Yes, those are most definately some awesome roots if ever there has been!! You've hit a 'dead ringer', dat 4 shore!
Yeah, I read the 3rd post and remembered the measurements......but 'what' is it?? I mean was it sold as a flood table?-> or...? I just hadn't seen them that deep. I am almost thinking to use one of those 27 gal totes with the yellow lids and use that for a table for an aero veg unit. I'd be happy with roots that were half the mass of yours, lol!!!

Thanks for all the help, epixbud!!:hump::peace:

Hey, and those pucks you split in half.......are those the regular pucks from the hydro shops??-------you even got me wanting to get rid of the hydroton altogether......

Hey, and those pucks you split in half.......are those the regular pucks from the hydro shops??-------you even got me wanting to get rid of the hydroton altogether......

I got the tray at my hydro store, looked at the reciet and it only says it's a 45 gal Rez, so thats the most extra i can tell ya....

And ya the neoprean pucks are from the hydro store too, the small 1 1/2" pucks come 1" thick (why i hackem in half) and the bigger ones are only 1/2" thick.....

I wuz going to to use Hydroton... but after putting lotza thought to it, and research, i could'nt find any reason why i could'nt use just the pot with a neoprean plug holding the plants centre...
so i desided to try it, seems to be working awsome sofar,
but i will say,
the plants are no ware as stable as if the were in hydroton or something,
you will need some netting or something to give them stability when they get tall, they will be prone to falling over.....

Dude, I got some insane ideas in my head!
After smoking a :joint: and working on that unit, all I could think of while trying to get to sleep were more awesome ideas.

For the trellis, you can make a super stable one thats removable pretty simply for the flower units. Simply screw some more lengths on both side of each corner (aside from the front side so you can remove the grow chamber if you ever need to) that go as high as you want your trellis. Use two screws on the bottom of each for stability so they dont skew.
Then put 2x2 U brackets at the top of each post on the inside. Make a frame out of the 2x2, screw screws every how long you want your squares to be (2x2 for me) and BAM!
Now you got a super stable trellis that you can drop in and out, no problems. :)

Got a few other ideas I'll throw up here after I go work some more!

Alright idea, but i gotta keep things simple and small,
i only got 6" between the table's and the wall,
not fesable or practical to loose 2" more!

Not to mention, unless you growing Masive SOG or Monster plants or plants outdoors, all ya need is a bamboo stick, zip tie the stem to it and it'll never ever fall over...

staple string to the wall on one side inbetween pot row's,
stretch it out to the other side and staple it there,
continue like that and make the same runs the oposite way,
and the No wall side just tie the strings to a string run tight there,
and if no walls, use 2"x1", more compact,
and it won't bend under the plants wieght!

Remember, all you need to do is stop them from falling over, people go with the 2" spacing idea because it's the most readily availible netting bot at most stores, all you need is a squared area to enclose the plant, and i figure that out by the amount of space each plant gets....

......beautiful, as is the norm for you in this thread, epix!!
Hey, I know you probably told thisalready, but what other than the baskets and plants and sprayer set-up do you use to put weight down to seal your lid in the veg unit? Not quite that far yet but should be tonight if I get home soon enough. Is that all you need to use though? No leaks?

I got those sprayers today too($1.75 ea) to play with--just worried about something plugging them up......going to try to keep this all in pvc, if I can. So hopefully by the end of this weekend I will have a new veg unit to work with; I am sure it'll beat the hell out of the dwc unit I made a few years back......

I stopped in Lowes today and they had the 6" x 6" x 6' pvc blank fence posts in stock--- I 've had to order them in the winter before(looks odd) so I got some to have for upcoming projects. You were talking about the big pvc pipe.....well, I am going to upgrade my 4" pvc af20 to this 6"...........the squares are so much easier to work with and they are much more stable all the way around........

Anyway, I hope you have a great adventuristic weekend!! And FUN!

haha-----thanks for all your help always; talk to you soon!

Good day there growinman, sorry i didn't get back to ya lastnight, went and got drunk!

As for the lid's, i don't use nuthing but the pots and sprayer system to hold them down, it all depends on the jug's lid and the way you mount the sprayers weather it will leak...
my lid's for veg and flower are flat, so i attached the sprayer system to it to hold it down, then i mounted the spinner sprayers upside down, that way they don't send any water high enough to leak anyhow... you'd be surprised how much wieght the water lines have when full, and the potz with plantz too...

Lucky you on the 6"x6" pvc post, i tryed finding them or the round 6" around here and couldn't, hence why i went with the grow tray...

So, Here be some update pics for ya's......ya the clones look dif, i added 3 more new strains, hope they work..

.......right on, and thank you again, epixbud! It make sense--I hadn't been considering how everything will hang downward, well, pointed downward. So the weight shouldn't be too much of an issue as far as to seal it. Cool! I've been using GH's Flourilicious Plus this last run(you familier with it?) and I am kiind of worried about using it in these spinner thingys. It just seems like this crap puts scummy sh*t all over where the res water gets. And smells.........well, real minerally-not foul or rotten---I just dont like it, doesn't smell like "fresh" clean nute mix, yah know.........da da da......
Out partying, huh! Right On!! I am just sitting here this morning drinking coffee checking on a few things, kicking back taking it easy---haha, it's 12:40pm!! Isn't everyday like this?? Wake and BAKE.......starts a new adventure everytime, or at least I like to think.......

You got it goin' on, Man!!
Right On, epix!!

Thankz again Gman......

and i thought of the "gunking" problem before i set everything up,
had that prob in my cloner before,
so knew damb well i would in the 12h...
i checked around for None Gunking fertz and found some,
Advanced Nutrient " Holland Secret" line,
Bada Big, Bada Bang, Bada Bloom........
thats the names on the 3 jugs.....
it has a slight smell but does seem not to create much residue or gunk.........

Hopfully that'll help ya, find some None Gunking stuff.....
And the for-mentioned works grest for me sofar...
Haven't try'd no others tho...

Hey hey - got the same system as you and I've decided it's time to expand it to the roughneck+plants+sprayers atop a rez, I've had trouble cleaning the system (I like it immaculate) I dunno if you've come across it but roots like to swallow the sprayer assembly. I don't think you're atop a rez, but I haven't read every post - just followed and thought I'd share what may prove to be a wise upgrade for you.
