Obama ... He's Lookin' Good!

Since you cannot remember the part of your post that smacked of a false sense of superiority even tho I quoted it in my last post. I'll reitterate..

implying that everyone else does not, and thus my head in the sand comment.

I agree that you need to ask questions and look at things with your own eyes (perspective). I guess when some people do this they so badly want to find fault with someone or something they don't agree with, or to find something that everyone missed in order to feel like your special. It gets to the point where people like ViRedd are so twisted up that all they see is conspiracy.

All ViRedd does all day is post anti-Obama stuff all day. Seriously get over it. When Bush got elected I was pissed but I did not go around condemming everything he did for no reason and come up with cracked out conspiracy theories (tho on second thought perhaps I should have, LOL!).

ViRedd and Crackerjax - Does all the hate mongering make you feel any better at the end of the day?

I certainly did not imply that "everyone else doesn't." Honestly, i had no consciene thought of superiority over anybody when I wrote that. I was tryin to discredit some of the conspiracy theory stuff cuz I look at the facts for what they ARE, and often times question them (for good or for worse) so no, I'm not necessarily always looking for the bad in something. By nature I'm just not that pessemistic.

So no, I'm not spewing anti-obama rhetoric for no reason. I'm specifically stating what raises red flags to me. And I'm obviously not doing it to "feel special by pointing out what others haven't" cuz honestly LOL....all of the facts I spew are pretty well known

Perhaps I took it that way because that is always the tone set by others in this forum. Not all of my comments were directed at you, but at those people here that have obviously stopped thinking rationally about this entire thing.

The funny thing is I see what people are saying with the spending, and yes it is scarry, but I do think it is the correct course for now. In the future we very well might say, "we could have been more careful spending it, but for the most part it saved us a 5-10 year recession," and I don't think people fully understand that thats what we were looking at. I don't think people can get their arms around 5-10 years or recession and what the effect on everyone in America would be.

And most of all, if you want to have intelligent discussion then stop the hate mongering. The tone of most of these posts is that it not up for debate and the US is going to hell in a handbasket. And thats a crock of shit. I grew up never knowing when the nuclear war was going to happen and kill me and family. You don't see that today. The world is getting to be a better and better place at time goes on. This process will continue. its easy to get caught up in the moment and not realize how good we truely have it....

So now curiosity is hate mongering?

Whats with all the labels?
This is being used as a hatemongering tool. I too am curious about the documents. Personally, I think that if we need to torture some one to save lives then thats what we need to do as long as its not abused (and here lies the problem). Thats not the point tho. The point is let the documents come out as they will be released. I heard this on FOX some im sure its confirmed, lol. Untill then I think people are going to use this as a hate mongering tool. and yes the tone and point of ViRedd's posts are always hatemongering imo. When your sole point of a post (hell, a few posts a day) is to attack someone over and over by any and all means... Thats hatemongering..

There was never any data showing a five-ten year recession looming. There is NO justification for the EXPLOSION of Govt. GROWTH or CONTROL. There is no precedent for it either. There is also NO MONEY to pay for it.

Also, if Obama wishes to quell all of the lawsuits about his birth certificate, he merely needs to PRODUCE it. The question really is why he FIGHTS IT!! That doesn't pique your curiosity?

He could end it all tomorrow, but he won't.....why?

For me it goes all the way back to Reagan, he was the one that started it all. Since then every republicrat has bowed down before their bankster masters and done what he was told to do. Bush basically shredded the Constitution, but only before having the system rigged to do it by Clinton. Now that the policies are underway and have been in effect for years and years, people just assume its always been like this and just don't know any better or refuse to open their eyes. Now Obama is sure as hell going to do a number on the economy. When you lose your job and have no savings what do you do? Look for another way to make money right? right, but not the government, they just spend more and more, the worse it gets the more money they spend. There is no end to it, and therefore there is no end to the increase in inflation, because the whole definition of inflation is "Printing Money" AKA "Quantitative easing". Sure as shit Obama will be blamed for it in the future, even if he had nothing to do with it. You see our gov't is totally controlled by people other than the citizens, the people are nothing but slaves and serfs to the power that is our government. We have been in worse situation economically before, but the Gov't did not prop up the failures and it was over in 1 year. History has PROVEN that printing money is a sure fire way to really screw things up. The Obama Plan WILL NOT WORK, but of course it was Bush who started it all, I got my $1200 free check last year to help me buy something in the hopes of kick starting the economy... I bought 100 ounces of silver and paid off some bills. Now that silver is worth twice as much and I have no debt. Why can't the Govt do that?

I love conspiracy theories as much as the next guy, and there is always some truth to them all. Do I think we are all ruled over by a few select illuminists? No. Do I think aliens have come down and infiltrated our society AKA MIB? No.etc etc etc etc there are so many to list it isn't funny. Do I believe our government was somehow involved with the 911 attacks and susequent impossible destruction of the towers, yeah i do believe that one. In a former life I had a great deal of exposure to explosives and demolition practices and was trained by the US's best. That day I saw the first tower come down I turned to my wife and said " Why the fuck would they blow it up" Its an OBVIOUS demo. Kind of like that Hitler guy and the reichstaag or whatever their Parliament Building was called that got blown up and provided a way for Hitler to impose " The department of the Fatherland" or whatever ...sounds eerily like the US dept of Homeland Security.. Yep thats the World we live in now, its pretty fucked up and Im hoping that I wake up some day and find it was all a bad dream.

This is your opinion. I accept where you are coming from and disagree. I do not entirely like how far left Obama is taking everything, but I do not think he is out of hand. He has a vision, and he is going to explore it as far as it will go. Time will tell if he is correct. I remember alot of people really talking about Clinton like the end was near and look what he accomplished! Obama is basically taking his blueprints and taking them the next step farther. This is not my opinion but fairly common knowledge. He has alot of Clinton people on his staff.

I think im out of this thread. I honestly hope that you do not think Obama malicious. You may disagree with his policies, but I think it is wrong to say he is not trying to do the best with what he has and believes is the right course...

I thought potheads were supposed to be more "open-minded" and know what's really going on. I am pretty ashamed to see all of the sheep in this thread, I would have thought it to be the opposite on a forum like this.

Obama is another puppet of the corporate/banking elite... plain and simple. No difference from Clinton, Bush, McCain, Kerry, etc.....

My fellow Americans make me so sad these days. The United States of America is in big trouble, and no it is not even really Obama's fault.

As long as a central banking system (the Federal Reserve) exists in this country we are so screwed.

One more thing.

Ridiculous spending and the creation of money out of thin air by the Federal Reserve is what got us into this economic problem in the first place... and what are they doing? Think, people... think.

They are doing this on purpose to destroy the dollar. The Federal Reserve has injected more money into the money supply in the last year than they have in the entire time it has existed. Most people don't even understand that we have a "fiat" currency, and that the Federal Reserve practices something called "fractional reserve banking." The money is created out of thin air. The treasury needs $50 billion so the Federal Reserve simply punches in some numbers into a computer and BAM... there you go, another $50 billion injected into the money supply. Anyone who understands simple economics knows this causes inflation and it debases our currency.

If Barack Obama was really going to "change" anything for the betterment of the American people he would abolish the Federal Reserve. Obviously he is not going to do that because he is just another one of their puppets. I mean, he appointed the head of the NY Federal Reserve to be our treasury secretary for Christ's sake. Wake up people.

We're gonna be good friends. Excellent post.

Also, let's not forget that not only is he having more money printed, but he's spending it for "us" too....furthering the financial enslavement of Americans. As much as I think McCain is a watered down conservative, he was right on the money in calling what's going on "generational theft".

What's so funny is how the Obama administration is trying to spin the unemployment numbers. While jobs continue to decline and businesses continue to flee high tax areas like California, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Maryland, the administration comforts us with quotes like "It's not as bad as we thought it would be." Classic. Just lower the bar and we'll all feel better. So long as the THE TELEPROMPTER says things are improving, it must be so. *rollseyes*

8. Our current president looks to hire the appropriate person for the job, his appointments are based on factual evidence.
9. Our current president has changed the world's view of the USA (almost instantaneously)
10. *** Our current president told us what he was going to do(campaign trail), explained what he was doing... while doing it (first 100 days), has a clear picture of how to move forward productively ***
OMG, this has got to be most Kool-Aid drinking shit I've heard so far!! Congrats!!

Every single thing you mentioned is not only completely subjective, but, as expected, completely unsubstantiated with any sort of factual examples. I'm not going to waste my time proving every one of your claims false (as they are), because I simply don't have the time, but here's a response to claim number 1- lol.

Just know one thing people, once your freedom is taken away from you, aside from a revolution, there's no getting it back. Call me crazy for being wary of big government, big taxes, and trusting that I'll be treated fairly and they'll "get it right", but trust is EARNED, not given away freely just because someone laughs off his own, many imperfections.

Bingo. ALL the reason ANYBODY needs to dislike obama. I've stated this about 10x in this thread...but just remember...

the people who "don't want to believe this" cuz it's a concept that is just over their heads are in the greatest denial. there are ppl in this country who are much more powerful that the president.

America will be the next zimbabwe- just wait till these financial institutions stop propping up the market and the media stops being optomistic to keep viewers tuned in (nobody wants to hear such depressing news). By the end of this summer, the state of our phony economy will be undeniable to anybody. Let more tax-revolts BEGIN.

ALL EMPIRES FAIL eventually

I leave you with a thomas jefferson quotes...

"experience hath shown, that even under the best forms of government, those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny."

Sorry to be so blunt but any discussion of the Federal Reserve will probably draw blank looks from most Americans. That ignorance has worked well for years for those that benefit from "creating money" or more correctly creating debt for Americans. Simply put Americans don't know dick about the money system, they don't get it.

There is a proposal in Congress, lead by Ron Paul and about 55 others to audit the Federal Reserve and ultimately abolish it. We'll learn alot about Mr. Obama and his promise of transparent government when this gathers steam.
Will he back it, probably not, the last President that proposed abolishing the Federal Reserve was killed a few weeks later...JFK...coincidence?...maybe.

As boring as it will be, I urge anyone with a pulse to google FEDERAL RESERVE, read up on it, yeah it's boring but if you can stay awake you'll begin to understand just how crazy it is. Every time the money supply expands, YOU go deeper in debt...is that a system that you want? Backing the dissolution of the FEDERAL RESERVE should be a litmus test, those that don't back it aren't working for you, they are helping to enslave you through debt. Everyone of you already owes close to $38,000 apiece for the debt that the government admits to. Don't look for that number to go down either.

Okay I'll put on my tinfoil hat now. Please resume inane arguments about right vs left, meanwhile you are getting fucked by both sides of the aisle. Sigh.

You can disagree all you want, that is your prerogative, but the numbers all fall on my side. You have no data to comfort you. If you are wrong, we will all suffer greatly.

Obama has no blueprints other than a socialist agenda. All of his campaign promises of hope and change and an end to politics as usual were all smoke. Since Obama never had to actually explain his plans with a fawning campaign media (well done, good job for the American ppl by the way), he has free reign.

So far all I see is someone who doesn't have an economic clue. This is going to be a very very costly mistake.

If you are all for it, make sure you document it for your kids so they can be proud of you later. In twenty years the nation will have political amnesia. Did you vote for that guy? No, not me, I sure didn't.... uh huh.

Don't forget that if this mess of gigantic proportions was left for him, after a surplus of titanic proportions was left for the previous president... In all fairness, just to have small victories at this point is phenominal... In any event, I am proud to be an American and proud of the entire US for voting for change in this country. The price of freedom is not free, so I am glad to do my part.

Last but not least... this is a MJ forum... President Obama may not legalize MJ in the US, but we know where he stands on the subject. During this prohibition of MJ, we know that our president is all for decriminalization of MJ... which is a HUGE step forward in the direction of legalization... at least leaving it up to the states to decide. Be aware of your local officials stand on this subject! I respect everyone's opinion here, and to move the country forward we need to ban together for legalization and at the very least decriminalization of MJ, while we have someone that will listen. Imagine legalization and taxation of MJ... I seriously doubt that there would be much of a debt, if any in states like CA, NJ, NY, etc... Shoot, I bet the country's debt would be eliminated within 2 years and imagine how many jobs that would create... not to mention tourists that want to come to the US for ALL of its freedoms and good smoke.

In closing, we don't complain as much about the price of cigarettes, cigars and alcohol... we might, but we don't boycott them... unless we are sick and dying... Hemp will not allow you to overdose on it, its all natural, and we can use the plants not only to smoke... http://students.ou.edu/W/Elicia.A.Wallach-1/usesofhemp.htm

The huge mess was made by Congress. You know...the very same Congress which Obama allowed to WRITE the stimulus. He is noob and it shows.

Coming in and making sweeping changes without ANY data to back it up is catastrophic. Using Chavez Strong Arm tactics on the private sector is abhorrent.

Seeking judges based on empathy CLEARLY shows he's not about being fair at all and smacks of dishonoring the Constitution and the Judicial system.

Just remember he's your guy when the cards all fall......and they will. Sure as the sun rises this will all lead to economic and social catastrophe.

Bullshit. What #'s do you have on your side? More of you blathering with no data to back it up.. You have yet to talk about these numbers, but we did talk about Obama approval ratings and those are not on your side. What the fuck are you talking about??

Listen, were in untested waters here. Everyone thinks they know whats best for the economy and I got news for ya, most of the time the average guy is wrong.

Like I said before I understand that to many people this is scarry. The spending situation will be looked back on in future years as too much too fast, no arguement there. However, its realy easy for people that do not know enough to say hey, I don't know if this is really gunna work. But the numbers show that it is working..

To say you do not like Barrack's policies is legitimate. To continually bash him and promote tin foil conspiracy theories is pointless.

I still ask the question does anyone think he is trying to screw over the country? I think posters here really have shit so twisted up in their minds to believe that kind of stuff.

Crackerjax - My guy?? Politics is a choise of lesser evils. Saying Obama is my guy is like saying Bush is your guy. You say if Obama is wrong we will suffer greatly. How got us here to this precipice. Bush? No not quite but he did have a hand. I'm not an Obama fanboy. I believe he has some good ideas and I believe that he really is doing his best to forward his vision. I do not like some things he has done or wants to do but thats politics. Noone is ever going to make 100% of the people happy 100% of the time. So we settle for what is closest to our beliefs. I know you think your in the majority with your beliefs but be honest with yourself. Obama approval ratings are VERY high. Most Americans think that he is doing the best that he can.

There will be no catastrophy as you seem to like to insinuate that its imminent. Things will be ok. Its not all peaches. Hell, i had to shut down my business last year, I UNDERSTAND! But the economic downturn is largely because of the financial sector. I was in the financial sector and I know first hand the bullshit banks and mortgage lenders pulled to write bad loans. They are the ones to blame and if they need to be regulated for a period of time so that sufficient controls can be put into place to prevent that from ever happening again, I', ok with that!. I don't like regulation but when companies are so crooked that there is no way to clean them up, then regulation will get them back on track, and hopefully the regulation can end when this mess is sorted.
