Hi everyone, I've has psoriasis for over 30 odd years, having tried everything,UV treatment, steroids etc, my Doctor then sits me down and tells me about a medication that WILL!! take the problem away, no its not a cure, but without it,i would have done myself in years ago, its such a terrible illness and it takes over your life, I feel for anyone with this and I can only tell of what works for me, This medication is in the form of tablets, called Methatrexate, this drug,[from what I've heard] was first used for helping during organ transplants, as it helps the body to not reject the new organ inplant, the side effect of the drug,is that it stops the multiplication of red blood cells, stops them altogether. yep, this is bad longterm, but you start taking the tablets and around six weeks later you should be free from psoriasis, honestly!! I wasn't a believer, I've heard of all the cures and none work, but this worked for me and still does, The bad side? now and again, you have to have a blood test, not too bad,[if you don't look hah!] just a minute and its over, the tablets can make you feel a bit sickly,[so my wife hides them in food for me] you may feel a bit tired and they also say,you may get some hair loss? not in my case, I have a beard and plenty of hair all over, yeh! I get a bit tired, but thats ok, a bit sickly sometimes, but nothing, nothing, is like being covered in this horrible ailment, i can truthfully say that this drug has saved my life, You can not buy this drug over the counter, its all done through your Doctor, I wish you well and I hope someone hears this and becomes free again, at least look into it, I am here now because of this drug, i was covered from head to foot, even my eyelids, feet, been in hospital, the full business, just a six weeks course of Methatrexate and i was clear, then your off the tablets, if,when, the psoriasis begins to come back? another course of tablets and its killed off again, peace and best wishes. Mo.
