You're kidding right? There are quite a few people in here educated in pharmacology and neuropharmacology, granted if you really want to get a grasp hit up Blue Light.

No im not kidding, show of hands; who on this forum has Graduated from medical school?? Theres a difference from a pharmacologist and a physician, or is that just a joke to u too? Would u trust some one on RIU b4 u trusted your doctor? I certainly wouldnt ..."Neuropharmacology is concerned with drug-induced changes in the functioning of cells in the nervous system". Whos really versed in this stuff on RIU? We must have a bunch of brain surgeons on here as well that im unaware of.
Never take one persons opinion, including doctors or med school grads. Ask as many people and professionals as possible. Do not limit yourself on the resources you gather your information from. There is a lot of misinformation out there including in the mainstream medical field.

I do not blindly trust doctors nor accept on single answer ever. Life is too complicated for one individual to know all thats out there and available.

Funny, I have never had it. One of my wife's complaints...we climb into bed (it's a big bed)... I check to see if the inn is open that night. If not, before she can finish her second sentence, I'm gone.

Try listening to an Al Gore speech, that should do it, but put your playback on a timer...if it plays too long you may slip into a coma.

That...seriously...is a fucking riddle! I had to think about that shit for like 30 seconds. I guess that means its an easy riddle but still. I'm thinking like "Wtf? Dudes runnin to a hotel at night...with his wife in bed? Creepin out...leaving while shes talking? What...the fuck? Ohhhhh."<-Exactly how it happened

Okay, here's the trick I learned awhile back.

First, relax...just relax... it's tempting to run over events in your mind but tell yourself the DAY IS OVER, FINITO. Nothing can be done about anything till tomorrow. Next, close your eyes but keep looking ahead. Sounds weird but I know.... but if you relax and just look ahead, patterns will slowly start to move around in front of you. Focus on this mentally, but not with your eyes, but with your mind. Focus on the patterns. Pretty soon, you won't be thinking about anything at all except the movements in front of you in the dark. The next moment it will be sunrise. It might take a bit of practice but I can shut down in two minutes, just about anywhere, anytime, as long as it is dark.

Hope this helps you. Don't give up right away, you'll get the hang of it. It's kind of hard to explain...but it does work.

Well after googling what Insomnia is apparently I have insomnia. I just lay in bed thinking about what just happened throughout the day for about 30min-an hour then I wake up in the middle of the night randomly...I thought it was normal though...maybe I have really mild insomnia. Could I get a medical card for it though? Ya know for that day when I move to Cali:eyesmoke:

Buy some pure cammomile buds and make tea out of it (my headshop has 'em $.75 for an oz), or smoke a heavy indica. Try meditating.

Much of it will depend on the strain that is smoked. If you smoke a sativa or a sative dominant cross it will not make you sleepy.

If you smoke a pure indica or indica dominant strain it is far more likely to make you sleepy.

Have you ever smoked Slyder? Do you know how it earned its name? It is because it knocks you out so much that after smoking it if you walk you will tend to slide your feet rather than pick them up like normal

Some strains of marijuana will help with insomnia.

Then there is each individuals body chemistry to be factored in. What one drug does to one person or to many may not have the same sort of effects on someone else.

I have had a number of kidney stones and one time I went to my Doctor’s office and ended up seeing a different Doctor than usual. He was about to give me a shot of Demerol for the pain and said have the person who drove me there take me to the hospital for x-rays and then later to the pharmacy to get a prescription for Percosets filled. I said I drove myself and he pulled back the needle and said he could not give me the shot because I would be asleep in fifteen minutes.

I said "Doc I’m an old party commando. You could pump me full of horse tranquilizers and I could function better than most people do straight."

He told me that was "nothing to be proud of" and then gave me the shot.

I went to the hospital and after a little while figured a little more of a buzz would be nice so I told a Doctor that my pain was coming back, which it wasn’t , and he gave me a second shot of Demerol within about 30 or 45 minutes of the first.

When I left the hospital I went to the pharmacy and then went shopping and then went to dinner and then came home and played online until close to 6:00am the next morning.

But the first Doctor said I would be out cold in fifteen minutes of receiving the first shot.

Different people have different body chemistries and what effects one person one way is not guaranteed to effect another person in the same way, or at least not the same in all ways or to the same degree.

Actually if you are a guy one of the very best things to do if you suffer from insomnia is to have sex.

The female always wants to cuddle and talk afterwards and it is an instinctual survival reaction in a male to fall asleep as soon as possible after sex to save himself from suffering such an unimaginably horrific fate.

So find a heavy indica, toke, poke and then snore and fart.

I'm shocked no one in here has said anything about Kratom capsules.. Look Up Kratom. In moderate doses it's a nice social up high. In larger doses it more sedative and opiate like and is LEGAL in USA!!!!!!
