how can i get more out of this???? i feel it is kinda pathetic. this is not a joke. the plant on the far left in front is a warlock at 11 weeks. i will be lucky to get 1/2 an ounce off it. what am i doing wrong. i'm an outdoor kinda guy. this was a winter project that i need to get serious about. i can't add ANY more wattage anywhere. my power bill is $700 due to several other factors not involved with the grow. i'm in 6" pots using guano. i'm thinking i flowered way to small, 5 -7". i had tall plants with short plants so the short ones stretched. i have now bent the taller ones and lowered the light. i will veg outside until they are 16" and maybe bump up my pot size to 12" and reduce my count by half.

any input or suggestions are greatly appreciated. :peace::joint::joint:

Vegged not long enough. Those gals look heavily pruned. Maybe that stunted the production. Just a guess I'll haphazardly toss out here.

i got all caught up in the newbie section and for some reason flowered everything at 4 - 6". why i ask myself again. i was pulling a 1/4lb every 2 weeks off this set-up 3 months ago. i have no idea what happened.

When was the last time you changed your light bulb ? And personally i dont prune that much nd could say if that has anything to do with it , how long did you veg it for ?

i only vegged a week or 2 under shop lights. i've had the bulb since Nov. i'm pretty sure if i veg outside until they are about 16" i will do much better.

i lose a lot of lower growth. it never really grows and what does just dies off.
somewhere everything changed in the last month or so. i'm way to high. i don't know.......:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

fdd, looks like you first pruned mainstems then flowered while they had not quite recovered from being pruned. Could have vegged them a bit longer after that style of pruning.

If you're going to flower short plants in the SoG style, don't prune the mainstem, only the branching on the lower 1/3 of the plant.

If you want growth to bush out, prune the mainstems, but veg them about 1.5-2 weeks under your 600HPS to recover before flowering.

As you know, I prefer the SoG method, mainly because there's no time spent vegging cuttings before flowering them. Yes, SoG style budstalks do yield less per plant than a plant that's been vegged, then pruned back once or twice, vegged a little more and then flowered, but you grow more of the little beggars- and trust me, you make up the difference- and get better average bud size and density to boot. SoG also has more rootball area per the amount of plant material compared to other methods.

Doesn't look like any other problems going on; some lower fan leaves yellowing, not too weird for late flower.

i lose a lot of lower growth. it never really grows and what does just dies off.
A 600 will penetrate foliage down about 600-800mm or so, depending on a couple of factors. How far down from the light is the lower growth?

You mention vegging 'outside' to 16". Wouldn't even consider putting a plant in my op which has ever seen the outside world. The possibility for pests coming in with the plants is very high, almost a sure thing.

if you want a perpetual cycle still, go with 2 trays, you can still do soil and use the hydro trays as a catch. or do ebb and flow..... that way you can have one tray higher then the other all the time and closer to the light. its easier moving a tray of plants then a bunch of individuals. use a bubble cloner to get those galz started, keepem in there till they go to your flower room. get some t5's FDD, 20$ for a 2fter does me ok but i think i will get another.( i know they are cheaper but this one is a hydro farm and it was from my local growshop). remember the grow that someone did with the hps t5 tek, and shop floros? the first 3weeks the t5 rocked the 1000watts hps. i was conveinced after seeing that.

OR....
buy a plastic round kiddie pool and cram as many 2.5gallon pots in there, net it, and do ScrOG...

either way i wouldnt veg outside, im def an outside guy at heart but i have problems going outside to in....i think if you think veg was the problem then i would try the bubbler, get a crazy root mass under the t5 6500k, and then straight to flower. and the pics of the warloc drying in the background of the pic in your grow journal( how to get chewd up and spit out by kp! j/k:mrgreen: ) is delish!

black molasses is good for adding a little bulk, I use about 1 teaspoon per gallon, but only ad it in the last week before being pulled.

i agree, more time in veg would help. hows about lsting them? i know its a hassle for alot of plants, but it would keep height down and penetration to the max. you could also make sure you had an even canopy then...

Honestly Fdd i dont see enough sun leaves to process the light your giving, and if you were a half elbow a month outta there with 600 watts they are great?

as you clone and clone and clone generation after gen will yeild less!
For my taste those pots are tiny!

Are you talking about cloning from a clone? if you are yes it degrades..but if you've been pulling from 1 mother everytime,,your going to get pretty much the same results everytime
