HLG550 vs Gavita? Anyone with experience with either/both?

Your a real Einstein, did you know there are places on the planet earth where daytime temps (night time for the grow) are below what is desired during lights out??
You think the canna we grow and landrace strains are the same, bro? You'll probs ignore this like my last post

If it's that cool how much does reducing airflow really help? I don't live anywhere that gets that cold if I did I would split the room in half so I had lights on all day

Yup. Let's all throw insults around, talk passed each other, compare dissimilar scenarios and scream victory when results vary, and most importantly, pick a team and defend it to the death regardless of any and all facts to the contrary. Definitely don't have open and honest exchanges... listening and learning is for pussies.

Reducing airflow helps by not exhausting what heat you are accumulating through dehumidification etc. Or if adding a heater is necessary?
Reality is everyones situation is different so to say that any light or method is the best or most "efficient" really isn't taking all things into consideration.

Oh I thought we were assuming no dehumidifier. Yes if you are generating heat in the tent reducing airflow could keep the heat in but if you aren't generating any heat I don't see how it could help that much. But I agree lots of different situations sometimes hps is better sometimes led is better my best results have been with running rooms next to each other on opposite light cycles really helps keep the environment

To HPS fanboys: There are a lot of people killing it with modern LED tech. You don't need to deny the reality of that and blow the cons out of all proportion to feel good about how you grow.

To LED fanboys: There are a lot of people killing it with HID. You don't need to trash the established methods to bring attention to how good the tech you're using is. Best thing LED users can do to convince people is to keep growing the dank.

To both groups: Chill the fuck out. They're just lights.

What would make anside by side legit? I can take.my cons down on one half of the 4x,8 and hang one of my 600 watt hps?
Same clone, same wattage, different tents so there isnt.overlap....ummm and a quality experiencde grower that kbows led and hps that already knows the strain inside out? Think that'll do?

On my phone catching trains soz for typos

i have the same clone of one strain and two very similar phenos from seed of a second strain. Noni would not be doing same wattage. there would be 600 of hps and 354 of Cobs. I would run each against each other as I would normally .Not gonna beef up the LED just for a showdown. My opinion is there's little advantage to justify the cost of LED vs HID if going watt for watt.

miles off fair so until you do it right you just dont know! i think the differences over a large grow would add up so much that it would be hard to ignore.

thing is here, most people have one type of lighting. i threw my hps in the bin so i cant do it and theres no way you'll catch me buying another one! no bulb changes, better spread and higher efficiency just makes my brain think i know the outcome...when i honestly dont know for sure
