considering you are 43 times more likely to kill yourself or a loved one with it rather than fend off some kind of intruder, a gun would be the perfect thing for you to buy.

Only 30% of US households own a gun. 70% don't. It's only a matter of a few more mass killings by one of you gun nuts and the super majority will insist on reasonable gun control laws. There are plenty of other nations that have effective gun control laws and system in place. People will still be able to purchase guns, people will be able to keep the guns they already have, hunting and sport shooting will still go on.
Things like bump stocks, large capacity clips, loopholes that allow people to purchase a gun in an untracked sale without a background check will be illegal. Probably the purchase of a hand gun will have to be restricted. Nobody really needs one of them anyway. They are only good for killing people.
Question: do you store your gun outside of a safe. Perhaps loaded? Perhaps accessible to kids?
About half of all gun owners do. The potential liability for doing that will probably have to go up if somebody gets hurt from an unsecured gun too.

I swear, if we included a test for the ability to spell half of all gun nuts would fail. We've had several posting here lately. Not a damn one of them could pass a high school freshman class in English. bunch of dummies. White dummies. The worst gun nuts are white. Anger, ignorance and a sense of entitlement seem to go with lack of pigmentation and testosterone. Being a white man should be a flag for follow up background checks and interviews for the prospective white man's likelihood to commit murder .

No.. I have no loaded guns in my home... All 43 if them.. And no children would be aloud to go to the gun cabinet w.o an adult... And ee enforce that by actually WATCHING the children and being good parents and teachers and teaching them that they are not toys and not to play with them... Actually i lied.. I do have a clip inside.. Not locked inot chambered.. But just laying in.. Which i consider loaded and not safe completely to just pick up unknowingly... In my room in my top shelf of my closet.. And i am literally the only person who goes in my room..so i haven't told anyone its there.. Its for protection mostly... And yes.. This is what im talking about... You have no idea what you are talking about... Pistols should be sold... I use my pistol when im in the woods... When im ginsenging i run into a lot of snakes..that's simply one use... I like to target shoot with a few of them also... I use one when im in my tree stand for bears...when one tries to climb the tree you are in you would carry one too.. They are handy.. But it doesnt need to be carried all the time like some people do... I have a concealed carry pernit and have for a long ass time.. Recently they did something i strongly disagree w.. They made it leagle for anyone.. Without a ccp.. To carry.. We were always open carry.. But not concealed... I think it is bs... That isnt right imo... So i dont think absolutely no laws should be behind guns or anything but this kinda talk is just plaing lacking in sense

You are right about black men being both perpetrator and victim of gun homicides. This is why any hand gun sales need to be restricted and tracked. Even in cities like Chicago, where it's almost impossible to legally buy a gun, a person can buy large numbers of guns outside of city limits if they pass a background check. After that, secondary sales by private individuals are virtually impossible to track due to loopholes in the law. Sales between private parties don't require background checks.
This kind of shit has to stop.

But then again, how are these private sales tracked in Oregon? We don't register guns that each person has do we? How would the state even know if a gun was sold between private parties? Private sales are all self reported in Oregon aren't they? It would have to be a large criminal enterprise to get on the radar of the legal system.

They tried to pass a law here.. Maybe the did.. It doesn't matter though... Where i cant sell someone a gun... All you use to have is a bill of sale...it happens literally everyday... The most violent part of my state is at the bottom where the Detroit gangs moved in to sell dope.. Its bad.. Like super bad compared to the rest of the state... But we are probably one of the lowest states when it comes to gun violence... I mean i know where people from the citys are coming from... Iv been there... A lot.. I know how bad shit is... But it is literally like two different worlds... And that shouldnt affect us here.. But there lies the problem... People will go where ever needed to get what they want... Honestly most ppl here wouldnt sell guns to ppl like that... The meth heads and feinds will trade dope for them all the time if they can... But i just dont see it being fixed..
