Reservoir people

Hello everybody!! I have ventured Into coco world, and have a reservoir question. Since I’ll be watering quite frequently, I was thinking of using a 25 gal tank I have on hand. I need a good pump and air stone, and an answer on mixing the nutes in or keeping the reservoir as just a fresh water and mixing nutes as needed. Well, that is it! Any help is much appreciated :weed:

Will you use up the 25 gal in 2 weeks or less ?
Will you change your feed during those 2 weeks?

If no then go ahead make it easy for yourself and mix that res up.

If you need different mixes or it lasts longer then 2 weeks id use it for water storage

Just my 2 :)

Thx! It's looking like for veg ill run the same nutes week to week except 1. I can prolly just add that separately. U bring a good point tho, I dont think ill need the 25 gallon capacity so maybe ill run 10 gallon in it and see how that goes.

Nah you wont need much if it is just a standing res.

Couple of cheap stones and as big of an air pump that walmart has should do you right.

Pumps arw going to be more determined on how far your pumping and what head height.

Obviously if you want to water faster youll want a bigger pump but if its just for circulation
Any cheap pump would do.

A res all by itself with no plants doesnt need much accept to stay out of direct light on the nutes them selves.
A few bubbles will not hurt :)

I use my res for flood and drain and not drain to waste. Which are you considering? If flood and drain I change my 40g res every week, but can go 2 weeks adding water. My 40g res has been good for 50 square foot of tray/canopy.

Yeah I ditched my airstones. I don't even do a waterfall.

I don't even mix the water periodically.

Drain to waste, and there's no slime just some salty walls but that's no biggie.

Just keep on refilling as it gets low.

Sterilize after harvest :)

i have an auto feed system in my res. 6 site manifold on a second bigger waterpump on a timer. feed for how long you want however many times a day you want. i go away for a week without worries.

i was doing autofeed dtw hempy buckets but now i'm doing autofeed dtw waterfarms. works great.
