bernie lost so bad. no one wanted him. especially not the working class.

at least when hillary lost the primary she got more votes from actual people. just like she does every time she runs for anything, ever.
Welcome to politics, same in UK the Conservatives got power with 30% of the vote.

Because a California liberal says so?

And who do you think are this Democratic Party that a California liberal says should get behind Bernie? Whatever happened to the primary system for selecting candidates?
I dunno.

I just thought it was interesting that the biggest donor for the dems is backing Bernies platform. He tends to get written off and marginalized by Hillary supporters. Turns out his platform is quite appealing, even to billionaires!

Crazy eh?

So billionaires support Bernard in addition to other privileged white guys. Good to know.
I know, right?

He even goes on to specify what he finds so appealing about Bernie...

“When people say Bernie is crazy, no. Bernie is talking about inequality. That is the burning issue in the United States.”

It's so odd that a bunch of privileged white guys would concern themselves with inequality! We've got the world by the short ones, why would we care about people who don't?

Of course this is all assuming that your broad generalizations are correct. I have no reason to doubt you...

You certainly are making the case that leaderships of both parties are controlled by white male billionaires or attempt to. Also helps explain why southern black voters caused Bernie's defeat. So, maybe not as controlled as berners say.

Crazy, yes. Ironic too. A white male billionaire is telling the rest of Democratic party leadership (not common Democrats, the party leadership) they should follow a wealthy white male Senator who proclaims his goal is to get big money out of politics and social -- or is it economic -- equality?

Authoritarian runs strong in the berner faction.

Speaking of, have you seen any exit polling or other data to explain this? Was it specific policy positions of Hillary that they liked? Specific policy positions of Bernies that they didn't like? Name recognition alone?

This kinda baffles me. Medicare for all, tuition free university, raising the minimum wage to $15, putting an end to the drug war/mass incarceration. All things that disproportionately affect minorities.

Not twisting words. I'm just watching you try to turn this pigs ear into a purse. Unless you are saying it's like getting dad's stained underwear for Christmas and being forced to put it over your head for photos. That kind of gift maybe is an analogy I can agree with.

You didn't vote for Clinton
You didn't vote for Trump
You didn't vote last election? Maybe you wrote in Sanders? Maybe voted for a third party candidate?
By not voting or by voting for a meaningless third party candidate, berniebabies factor in to Trump as prez. That is their right. I accept that. But the excuses are rank with racism and entitlement.

Excuse #1, "I didn't vote for the least worst because that would be wrong".
Say that to a DREAMER who just learned they were going to be deported.
Say that to the small tribe of 1st people in Alaska whose ancestral home is being threatened by sea rise.

New Excuse, "it's a gift to the Democratic party"

The worst is when I'm expected to agree with your excuses.

hhaaaakptuie.
Sounds to me like you are blaming Abandonconflict for Trump's win.

Anybody who didn't vote for Clinton contributed to Trump's win. Of course.

But that's not the point I made in the post. It's the excuses that I was responding to.

Excuse one is fake morality.
Excuse two is putting lipstick on a pig to make it look better.

I'm not quibbling with people's choices, but the reason is telling.

Not a black and white issue though. I reserve the right to be as unfair as anybody else.
