bernie and jane are lawyering up!

looks like that total non-story about jane acquiring fraudulent loans, bankrupting a college, and then giving herself a golden parachute is a little more real news than the bernouts thought.

when jane was asked if bernie would have a lawyer for this fraud investigation, she replied:

"yes, bernie would have one"

How about that Democratic party, lost 1400 seats across the country in the past 10 years but can't resist going after the most popular sitting politician in the country?

They don't represent me, that's why I'm not a Democrat. Millions like me are making the same decision. Seems the Democrats aren't doing so hot without us.

Can't wait to hear your latest excuse for this.

how about a so called progressive using right wing banter to distract from the fact that his savior is under federal criminal investigation?

Right wing banter? Smear much?

I'll be watching the investigation.

I'm not stuck on Bernie per se, I'm a progressive and I'm looking to advance the many causes that both major parties don't seem to be bothering with.

bernie urged the bank to give them the loans knowing they were based on fraudulent figures, he is just as guilty too.

LOCK BERNIE UP
Totally nothing there...

Clinton didn't lawyer up and yet everyone was ready to send her to the dogs.

1st, getting a lawyer doesn't mean you're guilty, it means you're smart. Never talk to the police without counsel, ever.

2nd, upon some cursory reading, the allegations are a bit thin.

3rd, if there is anything there, charges should be levied, we really ought to hold politicians to the highest of standards.

This is the sort of thing a person who's never been arrested says...

If you're not guilty you don't lawyer up, that's called wasting money (unless you're black, obviously, cos the cops will try fuck you anyway)

I've never been arrested, but cops have tried to detain and question me several times. I refuse to answer questions until I'm permitted to contact a lawyer. They usually decide it's not worth the hassle after that.

You've been lucky, I'm also gonna guess that you're white?

Fact is, people don't lawyer up unless they need to defend against a credible charge.

She wasn't astute enough to realize she fucked up and needed professional help.
she literally agreed to testify under oath for 11 hours and laughed her ass off through it. she didn't need a lawyer because there was nothing.

doesn't it just suck that you can't join the pile-on against bernie though? i mean, you could and all, but you'd have to be a real two-faced slimeball bitch considering what kind of trouble trump and his entire senior staff are in as we speak. even trump's lawyer lawyered up. how fucking sad.

Yes, I am white. And the fact is that if you talk to the police it can only hurt you.

This video explains it very well. Fact is, I've only been detained for mostly petty shit, but once you say you want professional advice, they have to decide if it's worth bringing you downtown for petty shit. That means paperwork for them, and dealing with a lawyer. Not something most cops want to hassle with.

Oh you're one of those idiots...

The only thing not talking to a cop can do is get you more hassle, you just have to be smart. Most of them are completelt fine as long as youre polite (unless you're black or brown).
