Hey Mark, I'll put my name forward as a tester. You can see my garden in my sig. I bought my first COBs from you back in the day so it would be quite fitting :) Cheers

hey guys got my grow mau5 10 kit from cutter the other day. thanks heaps to cutter.
using a 4x4 tent i just wanted to confirm the layout of the cobs.

from what i have read a.
3 2 2 3 pattern works well?
each cob 10-12" away and bars 10-12" apart.

does anyone have some exact measurement for best positioning of cobs and minimizing hot spots?

thanks

Appreciate your support, 12 inch pitch cob to cob seems the most popular config people are having success with

Hi Red , if you go to Growmau5 youtube page you will find canopy 10 build, it has detailed measurements etc . His basic frame from tslot is fantasic and I can highly recomend using his build.
I used 30 system 80/20 tslot . 6mm bolts fit in the slot great and you can grind one corner to put the bolt in after assembly.

Thanks mate i have watched it i guess i wasn't paying attention when he mentioned the dimensions haha.
Yeah i think his design looks awesome but going to just build a temp one out of angle first so i can't get them up and running

Hey everyone, im new here, been around lurking for a while and watching a few of you guys on youtube, thought its time to join up

Im a bit of a noob when it comes to DIY but I am confident in giving things a go. I have 2 x old mars 2 400w's and a 192 reflector and want to rip them apart and utilise the components. Im not looking to make anything massive, I am only looking to cover a veg tent, 2x2x4, using the mars drivers and either bridgelux or cree cobs.

Would I be able to match, or come close to matching the Par and CRI of a 315w CMH, with some Vero 29's or Cxb3590's? How many would I need? could I get the same result with using vero 18's or cxb25xx/30xx? Im on a very tight budget. Also want to get rid of the noisey fans and swap heat sinks for pin's...

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Cheers :peace:

Great thread - I haven't been following the development if these new-style of LED fixture very closely till now.
What kind of output/coverage would you expect of the 300mm square Sol Skin @welight ?
