Yeah. 14-15 socks, didn't learn a damn thing.

Preach to us as if we care.

North Korea can't even generate enough power to keep it's people warm.

I'm really scared of a country that fucks up every missle test.

Wing nut war head fever.
Tangie,

The fact that North Korea can't keep its people warm is a confirming reason why their nuclear force must be dismantled.

Yes, they are poor, as you asserted. Sanctions do that to a country, yes?

And being poor means they are also subject to desperation. So they are a country in desperation, with nukes. It's a bad recipe. And it must be stopped.

Previous administrations (both dems and repubs) counted on "sanctions" to deter Kim. They failed, miserably. Because China provided North Korea with a lifeline. Trump has eliminated that lifeline.

Their long-range missile test failures are not all that discouraging, considering South Korea is so close...

Kim wants for nothing and the people have no power. You seem to be arguing that the desperation of the people will prompt a nuclear attack. Kim lives like a god, he would be stupid to piss it all away by nuking the south.

North Korea stages 3rd missile test in 3 weeks
http://www.cnn.com/2017/05/28/asia/north-korea-fires-unidentified-projectile/

(CNN)North Korea launched a ballistic missile test Monday, its third in a little over three weeks.

The short-range ballistic missile traveled an estimated 248 miles, splashing down within Japan's exclusive economic zone, an area of sea where commercial ships are known to operate, according to statements from both the Japanese government and the South Korean military.
South Korea and Japan immediately issued strong protests, with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe promising "concrete action" in response to the test, and South Korean defense chiefs saying the North would face "strong punishment from our military."

Leery of N. Korea, U.S. plans 1st test to shoot down intercontinental-range missile
https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/2017/05/29/leery-north-korea-us-plans-first-test-icbm-intercept/102284770/

WASHINGTON — Preparing for North Korea's growing threat, the Pentagon will try to shoot down an intercontinental-range missile for the first time in a test this week. The goal is to more closely simulate a North Korean ICBM aimed at the U.S. homeland, officials said.

The American interceptor has a spotty track record, succeeding in nine of 17 attempts against missiles of less-than-intercontinental range since 1999. The most recent test, in June 2014, was a success, but that followed three straight failures. The system has evolved from the multibillion-dollar effort triggered by President Ronald Reagan's 1983 push for a "Star Wars" solution to ballistic missile threats during the Cold War — when the Soviet Union was the only major worry.

Supposedly NK has enough well protected traditional weapons trained on Seoul that at the first sign of a serious attack they can level the city like it was hit by a nuke. 10 million+ hostages likely play into considerations about what to do about Kimberley.

It's their insurance policy.

I'm not saying that North Korea has the right idea or it's a great country- but considering how the United States has treated so many other countries like it around the world, it's hard to call them paranoid.

Considering how the US bullies most of the not-so-developed world, the little guys with things it wants like oil and minerals, it was smart of the Kims not to get involved with them decades ago. It's not really paranoia when they truly are out to get you. :)

The Kim dynasty since it began in 1948 has always been pretty screwed up but version 3.0 is a few more bits short of a full byte than his predecessors and has bigger toys to play with.

Sure hope Trump plays his cards right with this one but he better not try bluffing as he has more tells than Korea has Kims. :D

:peace:

I honestly believe that Trump ran for a laugh and was more surprised than the rest of us when he won. Gotta blame the Dems for half of it at least for putting lame old mare like Killerary in the race. A lot of those Dem votes that went to Trump would have gone to Bernie.

But as we all know, the system is rigged and the Republicunts won the coin toss. :D

Can anyone explain why the south Koreans were so dumb as to build their capitol city like 50 miles from the border in range of all the NK artillery and missiles? Might have made sense to consider moving it back in the 60's or something.

As for Kim Jong Un, the man is an absolute monster of the highest order and the world would be a much better place without him. He lets his people starve and eat each other while spending almost the entire GDP on weapons to threaten his neighbors and the U.S. with. Dissenters have 3 entire family generations sent to concentration camps to be experimented on, tortured and starved. He had his own half brother assassinated in an international airport with VX nerve agent. He CANNOT be allowed to continue developing longer range missiles which will eventually be able to hit the U.S. He's basically every bit as bad as Hitler, only smaller in scale. It would make sense to deal with him NOW rather than let the problem continue getting worse. The bastard has gotta go!
