Hello all! Just finished reading all 64 pages...took a couple days lol. Just wanted to check in from Athol. Learned a lot here already and still soaking it up.Here's a couple pics of my set up. Still a ways to go but I'm so happy cause I just got 2 600 watt vivosuns in the mail today. Here they are. Just need to set up my other flood tray and put up the Mylar.
Hi and welcome. OMG....guess where I live....freaky!!:eyesmoke:

Welcome to the party. What strains are you growing?
Right now I have 3 Fruity Pebbles and just popped 3 Super Lemon Haze. I've been trying to find a good cologne hook up here in mass but I seem to be unable to find anything of decent quality… Maybe somebody could help point me in the right direction? I'm right in Athol Ma and I'm really not trying to drive all the way to Boston.

I see what you mean, but 4 would be an insane photon event. It's a reflective tent, so if I go with no lenses it should get to the edges ok and not wate a lot of light. I may have to raise them a little higher.

I'd have the same issues with cob's though. I'd probably need 5 of those.
2 Quantum Boards driven at 120W each would do well in a 3x3. If you want more, add another.

With a dimmer for flower it wouldn't be a problem or go for a lower amperage driver for better efficiency. Overkill for sure for veg,
If you want to maximize your yield at minimized initial outlay and ongoing electrical costs I'd look at an 8 cob fixture with passive heat sinks
set up 3 - 2 - 3
northerngrowlights.com has a crazy sale on citizen clu-048 1212 cobs right now so this might be within your budget. Driver at 1400ma you should have a ppfd over 9 square ft of 800+

I had asked them in a thread a while back and one of the vendors said to use the 1050. I'm just thinking I won't hit 125 watts with that driver. the 1400 should get me closer to 150 if I have to push it.

Maybe I'll just go with the 1050 and 2 boards and be done. I don't have a friggin stadium to light.

Pretty sure we're in a different ballgame with COBs vs HID as a far as spectrum goes. I could be entirely wrong but that's what it seems like from everything I've seen. Most people say they didn't see any real diff in veg so they usually run 3500k. That's what I was sold after asked about different lights for veg and flower. He could have just sold me 2 more lights.

Can't see how 3000k could be bad for veg but it would certainly be better in flower.

I've vegged with success under HPS, and results are much better under COB LED. I haven't personally done it yet but I can't imagine Quantum Boards would do any worse.
