Please count from flip!!!

Count from after stretch, you count from then because all strains have a different transition period which is also affected by type of lights used, amount of lights, perfect or not perfect environment ect. Even then if your not throwing enough light at them, not feeding them right, not providing enough air exchange they are going to take longer to finish. Plus finished is a matter of opinion, we don't all like the same high so one guy might like fully amber where the other guy might like just cloudy.

Anyway point is its a bit harsh to start calling breeders dishonest because a strain took a few weeks longer than expected. My clones take almost what the breeders say in my environment but in my mates the same strain takes two weeks longer and is less productive. Why? attention to detail and environment. If I turn my fan down because its winter I can usually add a week because the co2 content is depleted quicker.

Because flowers aren't being made as long as the plant is still stretching. It is technically NOT in flower just because you flipped your lights. It takes a few days for the hormones to build which also differs by strain.

It is also beneficial to keep a blue spectrum for the first week or two to minimize stretching and also to continue feeding N in the first couple of weeks since cannabis still requires a good amount of N until stretch is over.

I don't treat the stretch as flowering since it isn't flowering yet and I've had plants take 2, sometimes 3 weeks to stop stretching before flowers even started to form. If you feed only bloom nutes while it is stretching, you will get major N def before flowers have even started to be produced.

tl;dr: I don't count flowering days from flip because I consider the stretch as a separate phase with its own nute requirements (lots of N).

Agreed.

hear hear!
and another thing, always, always report dry weight, NOT wet weight, and we only care about the weight of trimmed buds
But it is still okay to weigh the coir too so I get my awesome yield of 1 pound per watt, right?

I do laugh my ass off when I see someone post their wet weight, the last time I bought a bag of wet weed-Never!

I personally count my flower time from the flip then at about three weeks into I adjust my flower start time (to about when flowers formed) after looking at other growers pics and seeing how far behind my plants are. I honestly have never had a 45 day finishing plant and pulled some 60 day finishers at 90 days and still thought they could have used a day or two more. So now I try not to count, it just pisses me off, I do admit that I do it anyway even though my garden is too big and I too lazy to keep track (it is a perpetual).

Reference weight, I grow for personal use. So weight is of no concern.
What is of concern is harvesting a plant at the stage it's mature and gives me the desired effects I'm growing it for.
Rather have one jar of quality over ten jars of shite.

View attachment 3870286 People, why can't we all be on the same page? Count your flowering from the day you flip. If you count when you see flowers it becomes a subjective matter. Do you count New Years when you see fireworks. NO! You count from midnight (In your area) like everyone else! Simple, right? That means everyone's week five is the same. No questioning. Give me one good reason to count from flower development. Here is my day 31, FROM FLIP!
Agreed. It started budding/flowering the day it received 12hrday/12hrs night. This is when my budding clock starts.

I know I use 3 ounces of herb per month...therefore I must record the wieght to keep the continued level of relief. Once cured my personal med herb gets a number from the scale and gets used or frozen.
*If it's not measured? ...how would I know if I'm achieving that prescription amount?
Yes. I do know what the two strains will roughly produce but roughly is no a measurement...it's a guess. I get roughly 1.25 ounces per planted herb indoors, in soil but...specifically I need to know what that number is so as to report back to my doctor.

I count from first flowers and wont be listening to you, also the fireworks are dead on midnight here so you can start from midnight or fireworks as both exactly the same time. Only a douche lets off his fireworks before midnight lol

**I should say as well that the true date the herb is done may be actually way off because of stress and repair times and differences in soil temperature.
My main purpose to record is because I grow indoors winter and outdoors summer. Juggling these two and freezing bulk for latter is best done with a number not a guess.

LMAO...if your hand is wet...it's likely raining. It's too hot...so it likely cook your ass. If it freezes...pull your dick out of the snow. If your bleeding and in pain...seek relief...please don't be a fucktard and grow safely. Okay?

You can work out dry weight from wet weight so i dont see your point!
Every time I attempt this the time I dried never matches the wieght. Not enough to be reliable to under 1/4oz. I wiegh the herb once the feel of the bud is right and enough time was expired on the callendar.
