Thanks, I have a cheap ventech carbon filter. Haven't used it yet but now that I will grow I dont want to take the chance and stick up the house. Its probably a good idea to just but a good filter now before they start stinking. What do you all think?home grown....second nature... any hydro shop....
dont buy cheap CAN LITE.
It'll be alright.Dont they say you can never have a big enough filter? I guess im wodering if a 326 cfm filter is too big for a 190 cfm fan. Im thinkin it would be okay....filter might last longer.
You may want a fan speed controller as you're only working with 73.5Cubic feet. With a fan that strong it will definitely suck the sides in on the tent. Just make sure to open all your intakes on the tent as wellHi again,
Thanks for all of your replies. Few more noob questions....I have a 190cfm fan. The filter i want is a mountain air 326 CFM. Is this too big for the fan? Also, my tent is 3.5x3.5.x6. The filter might be overkill for the size but I dont want any stink. Will this setup work?
Sucking in the walls of the tent is exactly what you want. That's a sure fire sign you've got good negative pressure. You may want a fan speed controller as you're only working with 73.5Cubic feet. Oh I'm well aware of that. I'm talking extreme to the point of touching your plants. The fan is way overkill for the space is why I suggested the fan speed controllerSucking in the walls of the tent is exactly what you want. That's a sure fire sign you've got good negative pressure.
How many watts per light, and what kind?(HPS,CMH,LED,Plasma, etc..)Well I have a couple lights too which I factored in when I bought the fan.
How many plants? Go for the biggest you can shove in there.I have one 600 watt LED and the other is a 300 LED. I went to the hydro store today to poke around. Ill probably buy a mountain air 195 cfm and then a speed controller to adjust the fan.
maybe 6-7. I bought the 195 cfm mountain air. The guy at the hydro shop said the bigger one is too big for my tent size and that its too big for my 190 cfm fan meaning the ratio of the fan/filter is too big. I hope he is right! How many plants? Go for the biggest you can shove in there.
