Okay I am way into this lol. Question why did you design the reservoir the way you did
we originally were gonna do a square but it was much to big so we ended up doing a triangle, the main reason was do you want to clean 4-6 reservoirs or one? However on my next round I would like to use these 115 botanicare reservoir

Then I can also add some more trays on the back side. I also went down to 5 trays on the right side because some of the clones died so it was better to space it out.

We also made our own holes in the 3/4" tubing, because my partner always got clogging when using drip lines, I told him it was probably from one or two of the nutrients he was using, but nonetheless we didn't want to take any chances, we also get brand new lines after every round.

Awesome. I agree with brand new lines. Easier to put new lines in then running chemicals to clean your lines. Great choice on your reservoir also. Sorry if my questions sounded rude or anything. For how cheap the line is.

ooh la la, the heat will be insane once you have 4-8 hps on, and i cant even imagine the temperature once the 12 will be on. think you will need cooltube or bigger A/C or even both. I dont see any intake/exhaust in your room.No carbon filter?GL

P.S: Your probly growing for money, I highly suggest you to change nutes once you have finish with Advanced, you will increase your benefit a lot since its water in bottle =)

I'm no expert, but shouldn't your res' be covered or dark? I'm thinking algae and such.............

No nothing sounded rude or anything and besides that is what this is for. To gain new ideas, here constructive criticism and to keep learning.

So it's dwc with a driP feed system?
Honestly I was hoping you guys could tell me because I though DWC was were the flood from the bottom and then drain, this is more of a drip system, but just a more powerful different drip setup, so im not 100% sure what you would call it. But yeah I guess you would call it something like that lol.

And to your earlier comment. For what's easier to clean. I am wondering what would be easier to clean. Curious as to how much algae will build up on an open reservoir if not much builds than awesome but if alot builds up then it's going to be a pain in the ass. Bring that's what it's all about finding out what you like best and what works for you.

I'm not sure I am thinking so that's what I asked earlier. Also with the reservoir not being in the back room anymore and 1000 watt MH lights hitting it, I am thinking it might need to be covered to. Idk if the chiller will help it considering it will be cold?

Okay now I am looking closers. To your drain trays and such. Nice setup. Next time keep in mind to keep your water contained in darkness no light. Even on all travel paths as best you can. And is that 100 percent Rockwool cubes or do you have anything else going on in the pail

That is a lot if nutrients. We're you able to use that half that you removed to dilute your batch
Yeah they are sitting in a dark room with a couple air stones and I will be using those next monday (week 2) so I haven't gotten a chance to use them yet.

Well definitly cover it just to save energy on keeping your water cold and on top of that keep the a Lagarde down. So far all your water is open to light except when it hits Rockwool. It will be interesting to see what happens. I didn't think algae caused any issues accept clogging. And is you 3 4 line just cut holes or do you have a spaghetti line going from them to the bucket

yeah just regular little rockwool cubes, we soaked them in the 100 gallon reservoir and with a ph of 5.5-6.0, also to remove any extra particles to prevent future clogging as we had an issue in the past. If the reservoir needs to be covered I will cover it, like I said I am new to hydroponics usually do cocoa soil.

Okay awesome. These nutrients hold there ph for 6 to 7 days but that's when in use. But even then alot of growers go double that length but you loose the ph perfect tech

Do you have a lot of experience with coco I am going to run 1 tent cococ and 1 tent dwc drip feed

And no yours isn't flood and drain or ebb and flow whatever you want to call it. It's just strictly a drip feed system. Some factors when considering using one of the other or combined. When using just drip feed on Rockwool you get awesome growth because lots of wet dry cycle. But if you have a main pump malfunction and not catch it in time then your screwed. If some lines clog and you don't realize those plants with go without water until you notice. With dwc. You have water always there so water isn't a worry. But if you have an airstones or airpump malfunctionand not realize it then your roots can be fucked quickly. If the roots become even fucked then some people just start over some spend money trying to fix roots

Ok I will defintely keep that in mind. My 3/4" line is just "drilled holes" we took a little drill bit and took my finger were I wanted the hole and then drilled it. Then they are ziptied the the holes we made on the side of the 2 gallon pots.

Yeah we have had this happen before on those dwc 24 plant site things you can buy. Yes you are right we check the pumps all the time, but it sucks you never know when one is gonna go out. Doing it this way the lines never clog, hence why we use 3/4" instead of 1/2" lines.
