Bushcrafting, the weed addition: Bugout patch

I did some more training this week. I really need more time so I can get to every patch at least once a week. I just don't see that happening.

Here is one of the GV1's {I think} in the JP patch. She is way too skinny. Should have done this sooner.

You may have said way back but how far spaced out are your patches? Obviously a little bit of space between them huh?

I have 12-15 patches. It's about 2 miles between the furthermost of them, east to west, and a little more than that north to south. The plants in the patches are from a few feet to 20-25 yards apart.

But some of the patches are real close together. Last year's GV, Slo and SOL patches were within a couple hundred yards of each other.

Am I the only one smoking tops? When I add more tops to the mix, it gets me higher than the bags of bought weed by themselves. And since my buddy hasn't picked up that next bag of weed for me, it looks like I will be adding even more.

This was from the HR patch, picked early in the week, added to the smoke mix yesterday.

In the past I just mixed it all back into compost, but I think I am saving it all from here on out and will add it to cooked material. Got a pile of it right now. Been smoking after vaped bud as I been out too, but that is ending soon, just pulled down 2 plants

I mixed up the last of my last year's bud {CP1, CPDA and GV1} with tops and three kinds of bought pot a few days back. My BIL and my buddy are the only ones here who know I'm smoking {and growing} again, so I had been getting my buddy to pick up ZZ's for me. I have been cutting him out a 1/4 at cost, so I figured he was happy doing it. Maybe not. The last couple of times when I had ask him about doing it again, he said he would see. So far, I see no bud. But in his defense, he did just get rid of a bad wife and acquired a good girlfriend {in that order}, so he might have other things on his mind. I will try to catch him just before his payday, and ask again.

I have a certain amount of the bought pot left, I just hate the thought of running out with a long hot summer in between me and harvest time. So I'm topping like hell, and adding them to the mix. And it may be my mind, but I get higher from the tops than from the bought pot.

And soon I will have to be deciding which plants to breed. Doing a side by side smoke test on the tops is one of the ways I decide. {this will be for the males more. I will most likely seed at least a limb on every female plant} The thought of 50 little McDonald bags, each one labeled with a plant and patch name is a sobering thought. I would have to cut out the pre-walk smoke if I had any hopes of keeping it all straight.

Yeah I only have 1 guy I buy any bud from, but the last bit was sorta last straw of bought crap, I wiped out 200 grams in 2 weeks and dont think I ever felt anything.....

Funny how that works. How about taste? Isnt your weed the best tasting stuff ever? As in your own that you grow. Mine is ;)
That is why I mixed the last of my bud into the mix. In theory, as long as the mix doesn't run out, there should still be a little of my smoke in there, no matter how much bought pot I have to add. Great thinking, no?:clap::clap::clap::clap:

I've been happy with the bought pot I was able to get. The high and the cost were both pleasant surprises. I know the dealer they came from, so I could call him up and go pick up an ounce tonight. In fact he is married to one of my step-cousins. But I was on the straight and narrow for so long, I don't want anyone knowing my path is now wide and curvy.

My BIL said he would let me have some of his last year's bud when I ran out. I just don't want to take him up on the offer too soon. Him and Sister smoke very little and always have a surplus, even with just the few plants he does a year.

Ever thought of doing a few smaller fast autos @Larry{the}Gardener ? You could probably have had a few done by now.
What do regular auto seeds run? Like $5-10 bucks a seed? I have thought that breeding an auto male with a photo female would make a passel of semi-automatic seeds. I would like to see what they would do. The flower trigger would be much more touchy I'm sure. Taking them out of long indoor hours of light might be enough to flip them, yet you would have a higher thc than the straight autos.

Yesterday morning as the wife was walking out the door to go to work, she said, "almost forgot, the bug man is coming today." So I had to move the seedlings to the holding grounds a few days earlier than I would have liked. We've had rain today. hard at times, so I'm hoping they will be alright.

The CP1's {orange cups} and CPDA's {black cups} will be ready to get set out in another week or so. Hope we have a good slow rain one day next week so I can take care of that chore.

Gotta do what you gotta do, but those seedlings are awful young huh? I planted a handfull yesterday as well
They are young. I like to check on the plants in the holding grounds twice a week. I'm not always able to do that. With the small cups, I don't like to wait too long and risk a week of scorching sun without being able to water them. As soon as the roots will hold the soil together I go ahead and transplant. But if we can keep getting rain every other day, I can afford to wait a while longer.

Did you mean the little ones? You are right. I hated to move them, but my bug man goes over the whole back yard, and can see into where I keep the seedlings for the first week. I could have moved them around to another spot at the house, but they would have been going out in a few days anyway. But I wish now they were safely in the underground green house in the garden. We have had two pretty big thunderstorms come through this afternoon. All the plants except the seedlings are loving it.
