PS: It's funny how republicans always start with 'I'm not a republican but I'm going to vote republican...' Grow up, and at least have the balls to call yourself what you are republican, and by extension you should say:'I care only about myself and my immediate family!
I voted for Ralph Nader in 1996. I voted for Harry Browne is 2000. In 2004, I held my nose and voted for Dubya on the basis of the War only. I will vote for McCain this year to keep Obama out. Obama is dangerous and will collapse our economy with his irresponsible 'Government as Mommy' mentality.

Do not presume to dictate to me my own political position.

Nailed it.............
He sure did....

She obviously did not teach you to to be self-reliant. A Democrat dream come true.

More government is the answer. Steal from the rich and give to the blessed poor.

That's all you've got??? My, you must be getting senile.
That's all I need. It summarizes the class warfare mentality of the Leftists completely.

You must be regressing back to infancy:
'I want my Mommy!'

When the polar caps are all melted, when Greenland goes and sea level rises 20 feet, when Florida and Louisiana and California and Georgia are significantly underwater, well, I suspect she'll end up having to agree that the scientists and all their high-falutin' science were actually right. It'll be too late by then to do much of anything, except for the scientists to say "I told ya so" as we slowly bake ourselves into extinction.

Basically, it's a gamble, with the survival of our species resting on the outcome. If she's right, and we address global warming anyway, then we're okay. If she's right and we don't address global warming, then we're okay. If she's wrong and we address global warming, we *might* be okay. If she's wrong and convinces enough other people, then we could turn this planet into Venus and the human race will be no more. The science, backed up by the facts, says she's wrong. But either way, is it worth the future of our species to gamble on it? Not to me. For her, for some extra oil income for Alaska, that gamble is apparently worthwhile. Another sign of lack of judgment.

Where, exactly, do you see "hate" in any of our posts in this thread?

And by the way, you didn't take the time to answer my response to your post. Wazz up wid dat? bongsmilie

5. As if I would ever vote for someone who wants to take my daughters basic human right to self determination away.
It boggles the mind.
1. And O'Bama is a Chicago community activist who started running for the office of president as soon as he was elected to the senate. He has never managed anything. He has never had to meet a payroll. He has accomplished exactly nothing. If he has, please list the accomplishments.

2. She is on the record as saying, what is taught in our schools should be a local matter, and that applies to Intelligent Design and Darwinism as well. Can you point out in the Constitution where the federal government gets it's authority to determine what is taught in our schools?

3. The vice president, and the president for that matter, does not have the authority to "ban" abortions.

4. The age of 72 is NOT old. Not by any means. What is truly disappointing is the amount of agism coming from the left. Aren't "progressives" supposed to be for equal opportunities and equal rights? Or, does that not apply to older people?

5. Basic human right to self determination? I believe Palin is for ALL women's rights ... including women who are still in the womb.

Hey Johnny, I moved out from home at age 16 when my mom moved to another country. I lived in Oregon, Louisiana, New Mexico, California and
Germany before I was 21. I do not believe in the governments Tit as a fix for all. In fact I think it robs people of their sense of dignity and freedom.
More important then my ability to be self-reliant though is my capability for compassion for others. My growth is measured by it!
I think it's great that you have learned to be self-reliant, now go out and learn how to have a equal measure of compassion for others and you may yet become a human being.

Ps, let me guess, your mommy lives just a couple a houses away from you ;)

Also, don't overgeneralize Democrats *too* much. I'm very self-reliant. I have never, not once, accepted unemployment, never accepted a government rebate check, never used VA services, never been to an emergency room, never accepted welfare or food stamps, and when I am eligible for Social Security I will not accept that either. I've fought in combat, served honorably, got a few medals. I've done more for this country and asked less of it, than any Republican I know.

We're not all welfare-scammers, we Democrats. In my case, quite the opposite; I don't accept government help just because I'm eligible for it or have earned it. I would accept government help if I absolutely needed it, and *only* then...but that's never happened, because I refuse to *let* that happen.

Sorry I didn't get back to you yet kiss-ass
I'm talking about Palin on this thread, not Obama!
Obama has other Quality's, like being able to unity, the ability to present the USA to the rest of the world without them wanting to kill us at every turn i.e. being liked etc.
Palin on the other hand was only picked to be a catch all for disgruntled Hillary supporters, what a insult, laughable!

Dude, do some of your own research.. all that crap has been debunked by real science. The founder of the weather channel is suing Al Gore for his lies- thousands of scientists have signed a petition claiming it's a scam, with many admitting they were threatened for speaking out against it. It's a scam.

Look it up.

Global temperatures have been getting COLDER as of the past few years, co2 increase follows temperature increase- not precedes, co2 levels have been much much higher in the past. Ice caps were melting on Mars, as Jupiter moons had melted as well- all natural, due to a period of increased sun spot activity.

Some history for you as well- we already know that the sea levels have PREVIOUSLY been 20 feet higher than they are today.. hm, guess what- there were no 'human caused' co2 increase back then. So if one day far far far into the future, the coastal cities ever get flooded and the sea levels return back the state they once were, don't blame some global warming scam- blame your ignorance on the history of the earth.

Want to lower co2 levels? Stop cutting down all out trees (the lungs of the earth) for shopping malls. More co2 is a good thing, any grower should know that as we PAY MONEY for extra co2, more co2= better bigger plant growth= more oxygen output=healthier humans.

The scam of global warming is what the governments propose we 'do about it'- their proposal? A carbon TAX. A TAX on breathing.

Its all good and well to be espousing "compassion" as long as its on a voluntary basis. I believe in it with all my heart. BUT ... your candidate O'Bama, and the party he represents, will FORCE people to be "compassionate" at the point of government's gun. Is fascism what you really want? Is the loss of economic liberty what you want?

+1.

The government can't compare to private charities- the government robs half the money before the rest is handed out. Just look at Katrina- a long hard look, the private charities were the one's giving the real help, the government dropped the ball.
