I'm black, so shouldn't I be spewing "reverse" racism? White folks love trotting that one out.
It isnt reverse racism, it is simply racism.

It is an excuse and seeing how often you use it, a worn out one.

So, I wont be losing any sleep over your opinions.

Well, the e-mail string has been followed to the top aides in the Gov's office. This is all a bit predictable but I figured I'd post this in case anybody still wants to defend Gov. Snyder.

Emails: Michigan governor's aides pushed for 'urgent' fix to Flint water crisis

(CNN)Newly released emails from Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder reveal some of his top aides advocated switching Flint's drinking water away from the highly corrosive Flint River a year before the seriousness of the crisis became clear.

The emails, released after public pressure for transparency, provide insight into what happened behind the scenes as the crisis unfolded.

In one, dated October 14, 2014, Valerie Brader, the governor's deputy legal counsel and senior policy adviser, reached out to top aides.

"As you know there have been problems with the Flint water quality since they left the (Detroit Water and Sewerage Department), which was a decision by the emergency manager there," Brader wrote.

"I am not sure who is the best person to initiate the conversation with the (emergency manager), but I see this as an urgent matter to fix."

The email was addressed to Snyder's then-chief of staff, Dennis Muchmore, and three other top aides, including Michael Gadola, who also provided the governor legal counsel.

'Downright scary'

Minutes after receiving Brader's email, Gadola wrote: "To anyone who grew up in Flint as I did, the notion that I would be getting my drinking water from the Flint River is downright scary."

What's downright scary is that these fucking idiots were allowed to be in charge in the first place.

Its beyond me. Perhaps one of the wingnuts that post here can explain it. The GOP holds the Gov. office, as well as the senate and the legislature by wide margins. It's pretty much a red state.

The national media organs for the GOP is even trying to make this a Democratic Party conspiracy:

How many Flints until we learn our lesson?

In Flint, they’ll find some way to make this the fault of the governor of Michigan, who is a Republican. The Washington Post already is publishing absurd columns in which the situation in Flint is blamed on “democracy coopted by corporate concerns,” as Janell Ross daftly puts it in a column in which the word “Democrat” does not appear. Illinois has a new Republican governor, too, and perhaps they’ll find a way to blame him for Rahm Emanuel’s shenanigans. But that game can be played only for so long. The list of Democrat-manufactured basket-cases is long: Detroit, Philadelphia, Cleveland, New Orleans, Chicago, Newark . . .
