question about H&G top booster application

Every time I've used top booster in the past I would add all my nutrients, then top booster and adjust ec and ph, But I just read this on their website:
"First add the base nutrient to your container (e.g.: Soil A&B, A&B Hydro, Coco A&B). Adjust the EC- and pH-value of the nutrient container. Finally, add Top booster. Your nutrient container is ready for a first watering."

So do add everything then adjust ec as needed to target ec. or do I do as the site suggest and ads nutrients, adjust ec, add top booster then adjust ph? There pretty much saying don't worry about the ec of the top booster after I've added it, what's up with that.
I'm worried that the top booster will being my ec up, after I've adjusted everything. And I don't remember from my previous runs if top booster raises the ec alot.

If you are religious about following EC then add all your nutes first including top boost and then check the EC. Top booster will definitely cause your EC to rise. If there is a specif EC you are targeting you would want the top booster included in this target EC.

What i do is never use Top Booster. And id advise everyone that wants to don't. Sounds like a great name right? "Top Booster" Should call it burn booster, yellow me out booster.

No offense but if you are having issues with top booster you are not applying it correctly. Try revisiting your nutes schedule and re work the problem. House and Garden Top Boost will provide a dramatic impact to the final weight of the buds. Yellowing out can be caused by many issues like PH, pest, nutes, etc. If you do things correctly the top boost will not cause yellowing.

Using bloom boosters can make a sixty pound room jump to an eighty pound room real quick. So spending $600 on a 5 gal jug of top boost more than justifys the cost. Even on small scale systems bloom boosters are a must if you want serious weight. Do you pull 1/2 lb plants? Then listen up Jr.

I just use fish emulsion molasses and lime don't use all these products that cost a fortune for 5 part feeding cycles and root boosters call me a noob but I think its a waste of cash as well. plus idk what those chems actually are?

I see a 10-15% increase but lose all photo shooting opportunities.

Trimming a pretty bud is more satisfying for me.

Try running your lights higher when using boosters. Sometimes the intense light will cause bleaching, fox tailing, burnt tops etc when using boosters. And depending on your grow style peeps have been known to sacrifice some top weight for over all weight in the canopy. So don't get too scared leaving the lights were they are.

Just looked at the H&G web page. First time in a cpl of years.
SHADY comes directly to mind as NO NPK values are given and no separate or advanced information on any product!
No label or ingr. are listed for anything!
No links to that information.

Looked at the schedule and I'll bet if you follow that with the P&K piling on that way.....You'll get yellowing quick!
You don't NEED boosters to reach a plants potential......for the most strains I do nothing but water my soil (water only soil)

I do "tickle" the P&K a little.....I use single organic nutrients and do a specific P&K value once a week at 6 & 7 and stop...Sometimes 7 & 8 strain dependent for average finish times.

I don't use bloom boosters and I pull pounders. Healthy plants, FTW!

House & Garden was one of the most reputable plant nutrients in NL. The lack of info is surprising though, I expected that would improve now they moved to the US...

Bud xl is 4-0-1 (note the N)
Top booster is Pk13/14 + Fe but with npk of roughly 0-10-11.
Top shooter (liquid) and shooting powder is 0-39-25 roughly.

I have used the entire line including shooting powder without premature yellowing. AB is complete though and I don't use anything but that and some sillica nowadays.
