oh yeah, that's my idea of quality of life. Not health care for my kids or housing or meals for everybody. Just keep those airline ticket prices stable. Yes, I'm laughing now. Thanks NLX.
It was competition that lowered the prices due to the breakup of a monopoly... Maybe you dont understand market forces.

How about you purchase healthcare, housing and meals for your kids eh? I dont see why you are looking to me to support them, I did not create them.

if you listened, it would be fine. But instead, you ask questions then disagree with an answer without really knowing anything. If you contributed would be better.
I only disagreed because I found conflicting information.

People can disagree without getting nasty. Then if both parties continue the discussion, new information can come to light.

I came in here with good manners. I didn't expect to be attacked when I didn't attack or say anything rude.

Disparaging a person for ideas that they don't hold is dishonest and a sign of a weak ability to mount an argument regarding what the person does believe. In other words, in order to make your fallacious argument stronger, you have to lie. Classy.

So, can a person delegate a right they do not possess?

I watched how he decayed slowly. The poison of alcohol coursing through his ravaged and depraved mind. His words slurred more and more. And ,like his legs and body, speech gradually slowed to a crawl.

Nope. First sentence Fogdog.....the rest all me. Who is Kennh Stabler?

Sorry. He was a hard partying NFL quarterback from the 1970s and 80s who recently died from complications of his profession....getting hit so many times. It was kind of in poor taste on my part, but funny if you had an idea of what I was referring to.

I'll try to use more inclusive humor for the younger crowd in the future.

Trumpeting stable airline ticket prices as the triumph of right wing values is pretty dam funny.

Did you come here to complain? Good bye FP, you are getting boring and repetitive. Learn how to think for yourself and you might become more interesting. But I'll never know.

Sad as it is....We won't let this happen to China because "we care".

http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/us-environmental-protection-agency-gave-129-million-china

Because they can't afford it.:wall:

If we cut just SS or MediCare we could then afford to repair our Corp. abandoned infrastructure.....

National Security demands we deepen ports....as a result, China benefits. We can now import more on one ship.

I have no idea why we need to give china $1.3M to study something regarding coal methane pollution. I will say though that China's industrial waste in the form of air pollution is coming ashore in the Pacific NW. Anything intended to reduce that should at least be considered. That said, we are going to regret our current trade policy with that country in my opinion.

I cant believe Michigan and Massachusetts are the only states where the Governor is exempt from releasing e mails and other Office documents under the Freedom of Information Act. I wonder if this includes the FBI and Department of Justice investigations? Somehow i dont think so. The truth will come out soon about what he knew and when he knew it. FBI doesnt play games. There has got to be something there for them to even begin an investigstion.

I know that working people in America are not too happy with our trade policy with China.

The power of the subpeona is different from Freedom of Information Act. From Wikpedia:

A subpoena /səˈpiːnə/ (also subpœna) is a writ issued by a government agency, most often a court, to compel testimony by a witness or production of evidence under a penalty for failure. There are two common types of subpoena:

subpoena ad testificandum orders a person to testify before the ordering authority or face punishment. The subpoena can also request the testimony to be given by phone or in person.
subpoena duces tecum orders a person or organization to bring physical evidence before the ordering authority or face punishment. This is often used for requests to mail copies of documents to the requesting party or directly to court.

The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. § 552, is a federal freedom of information law that allows for the full or partial disclosure of previously unreleased information and documents controlled by the United States government. The Act defines agency records subject to disclosure, outlines mandatory disclosure procedures and grants nine exemptions to the statute.[1][2]
