I have the barrel and it has a bullet hole in it about 1/3 of the way down. I don't think I really need to fill it that far. I'm thinking about scrogging my greenhouse now. I have one plant that's crazy huge. Its growing a few inches a day.

I put a trellis over them and keep tucking them down. I don't know how I'm going to get it to work.

Outside, in a greenhouse, gravity fed water, If I remember correctly stretch starts the second week of august. Space is going to be a problem.

That is a big girl to scrog. I would probably do a light weight net over the entire plant and work the branches. Pretty much what i believe you are doing with the trellis.

I thought I had weight issues Lol!! I have to string up my puny plants.... I have a ton of fan blowing so they fall over once they start to gain weight. Bugs hate fans!!! 1200 watts is just not enough!! Pic is with HPS on and the incandescent setting on my phone. Water only perpetual. That little guy is my cross. It's time to see what it does!

I have a solution. Use the string to wrap around the plants and bail them up. Then slip a tomato cage around them and take off the string. I use tomato cages indoors all the time.

I actually have some that are cut for ease of installation. I completely forgot about them! Lol..

I have a friend that does. He uses lime and quite a bit if I remember correctly. His plants always seem to do just fine.
