Health Canada issues section 56 exemption for lp's to sell fresh pot and extracts

you start with a product you are legally allowed to possess....you convert it into a product that has now been OK'd to possess so where is the law breaking? is it in the process?
if you can't make it, how do you you use it?

I agree it is just like hc and the Feds though. They try and make the average person in this case the patients into criminals while allowing there friends and investors to be exempt hints the 56. Also if I'm not mistaken Owen won for possession of extracts not manufacturing. I was also thinking about this so if I get caught making cookies it's illegal but if I get caught possesing them it's legal. What a shit show.. Sadly it will likely take another mmj person to get charged with manufacturing to make it legal

Absolutely they have been experimenting with this. Vape pens pre-loaded with THC oil are ready to go. I personally know of 3 LP applicants who already signed exclusives for distributing edibles and extracts in Canada from Colorado companies. It's a massive market worth millions now and millions more when legalization occurs.

now that makes sense on why and how it happened so fast!

It's about the oil for sure. It's dangerous to make and sells exceptionally well at CCs already. Lots of money in making extracts and edibles from the shake they're selling for $3 a gram.

I dont know.. my opinion is they will go after the export. Outfits like Tweed wont have a problem filling there greenhouse with plants and sending it down to the states. If it wasnt for the export/import aspect of sec56 there i dont see a reason they would need one, dried marijuana is no longer the only fruit in the basket and there all completely legal as the next. 5g weed/oil/shatter.

Interesting part will be possession of 150g...from tousaws mandatory minimum video they weigh the whole cookie/edible

as of right away now the LP's can make it for you thats why they got 56 so fast so we can't say we have no choice but to make it our self's they are trying to turn our win against us they will never quit

Pretty sure LPs can't make food because that's a whole other license to be approved to be a food "manufacturer". This is where the education/cooking clinics will come in. At least 5 LPs are doing this already and Tweed spent 1.5 million on reaching out to hospitals to put clinics in their hospitals.

I eat regularly. I'm actually on a tolerance break because I had to take 1.5g of BHO to have the nice KO effect at the end of the night. My sleep has suffered a bit but it'll save me some product in the long run. Just smokin for now.

It's a great source material for making potent edibles and pills. Much easier to hide the flavour in the carrier oil vs shake or flowers.

You can eat it like that if it's been decarbed. If it hasn't been decarbed there's not much point unless you prefer to not have some of more potent the mental effects (which are effects I do want).

I usually just swallow it quickly and don't worry about it.

It's great to add to butter, much easier to work with than say like 8 oz of trim.... a lot less mess - no mess really.

I suppose you could eat it in shatter form but from the little bit I've read (and retained) shatter is formed from a high thc-a content in the extract. Thc-a is converted to thc during decarboxylation and thus becomes both psychoactive and medicinally beneficial. Not sure what the medicinal effects are of thc-a... Might toss some shatter into a pill cap and hand it to the wife... Muhahahah!

THC-A has a lot of benefits. You can make decarbed shatter too.
