Got it hooked up inside the tent now. Temps at 80 avg. Fan leaves are very yellow, sugar leaves on top cola on side towards the light are turning purple/red/orange and some yellow ill take pic when i can.
That new setup pulls air way better than that first booster fan you had doesn't it! I couldn't believe the difference in between a real fan and my first booster fan.

Hey buddy, glad to hear from you!! Listen to this...
First off one afghani started growing seeds (mustve missed a nanner) so I took it out of the tent and its been in a diff room with no artificial light for over a week. Im chopping it tonight.

For my other girls, the ripest one I wanted to see if I could "tell the plant was done," so Ive been waiting and chopping her by the weekend at the latest. I havnt been able to take a good pic under the hps so I will when shes out of tent! Even a good portion of sugar leaves are browning I hope I can still use them for hash??

Ill harvest the second sensi star within a week or so.
In total I have..2 sensi star, 2 afghani (1 hermied), 1 strawberry blue that are all finishing up. I havnt gave nutes to the afghanni in tent in over a week and she hasnt yellowed at all and had no prior nute burn symptoms.

I also have 4 other plants that have been under 12\12 for two weeks doing well.

****Are we still doing our purple grow this winter?

Awesome man! Finally got this first one under your belt! That Afghani should be good stuff. Throw a nug out in the sun for a few hours and give it a whirl.

Yeah you can make hash from anything that has frost, some people even through fan leaves in. I made some ice water hash after watching a youtube video.

Basically just chopped up my trim, froze it then put in a large container with a bunch of super cold ice water and shook the shit out of it then filtered it. I did that process with the same trim about 3 times and each time I squeezed the wad of trim to get all I could out of it. Check out the videos on ice water hash, don't need to order any equipment for that, just need a few cheap containers and some coffee filters. Word of advice, make one run with just a bit of trim to get the hang of it first and squeeze your trim letting the water drip into your container after the agitation process. You'll get more trichomes out doing that.

Awesome job on the grow man and when you get around to it the pics would be awesome.

And for sure on the purples this winter!

I wanted to show a quick pick of how yellow the leaves got, Im about to harvest the one on the back left in like 3 days and the one in back right a seek tops.

Front left is a sativa dom strAwberry blue and I started flush way too early so I am giving her nutes again. She bitched at me with literAlly 20 nanners I took off with tweezers..

Front right is afghAni kush Nd smells so sweet Im excited. It has alot of sugar leaves which is ok I want concentrates anyway.

It wont let me upload them atm sorry. I start3d my flush a tad early IMO because the plant thats about to be chopped has very yellow crinkly dead leaves now. Buds are beautiful dense with great fork though. Pistils look like theyve been eaten by the calyxes but I dont have anything magnifying enough to see trichs.

So how did the first chop go? The one you had without any light for a few days, that was the Afghani right?

(I will be on intermittently today so replies might be slow)
I have cats so there is hair on my wood floors so I had to clean out the closet im hanging the buds plus read a little more cuz Im nervous about this part.

I think im chopping my sensi star cuz all its fan leaves are about to fall off by themselves and sugar leaves are starting to get bad as well. My plan was to leave the sensi star and afghani in the dark drying closet cor 24hr starting tonight at lights off (midnight.) and chop at like 2am saturday night.

I heard dry trim is the way to go, so ill cut fan leaves off(idk if I should use those?) then hang without fan for first day. Then put oscilatting fan in second day without blowing directly on buds.

Wait until the OUTSIDE is getting crisp and stem somewhat cracks when bent?

Looks great, yeah, that one is ready. I did the dark thing, I left one in the dark for about 30 -40 hours, I didn't really notice much different. I've read that it helps though.
The main thing with the dry/cure is not to put them in the jars too quick due to mold and make sure you open the jars for a bit (about 30 mins to an hour) every day for the first few weeks. .I'd rather let them hang a bit extra rather than risk mold.

I'd toss the fan leaves and use the sugar leaves when saving your trim.

Looking good man and if your other plants are dying like the one in the pic I'd just chop em.

So I chopped my hermie plant( i let it sit in dark bathroom for week and a half to mature some more. ) I strung it up quickly honestly, to come back and see all my drying buds had fallen. So I set it up better..

I started flush too early like I said but still had alot of leaves at bottom so letting plant mature a few more days to ensure amber\couchlock traits.

Strawberry Blue keeps popping nanners and I have to spend a good amount of time with tweezers getting them out. Its sativa dom so it must mature more, and im taking the risk I guess.

If I can dry these good, itll be a solid harvest. My electric bill ended up being over 200$ last month which worries me. I cant use central air anymore..suggestions?

Just make sure you dry them out good enough not to get mold when jarring. You'll need mason jars soon.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat with the ac power bill thing but I learned from last time. If I'm home I just open my windows and have fans going so I don't burn up. It's bad for the plants though because it will still get hot. I'm running 85 + (up to 90) right now in grow area and that's bad. That's why I normally try to do enough in the winter so I don't need to do any growing in this heat.

When you have time throw some pics up. You sure that strawberry blue isn't done now?

I just got home and saw some web\ possible bud rot on inside of cola. It seems to be only on3 spot and got it all out. Def doesnt look like spider mites..

Im chopping my main sensi star because i found this, should I? My strawberry blue has too many bananas to keep up with.. I am almost thinking about letting both sit in the dark for a day then chop. Sound good or no?
