Day 26:
Stink bombs are recovering. Not sure the pH, in the group photo, the two on left are at .5EC, the two on right are .7EC and the one in the middle is Darkstar (which is making a comeback) at .5EC.

And the tray we have veggies. And in the aerocloner we have watermelon.

This one Stink bomb is taking the longest to recover. This one and the Darkstar got messed up this most. Poor buggers.

Plants are coming along nicely. The darkstar is about 2-4inches below screen so I can start scrogging it soon.

Two new tops are starting to form finally after I topped 6 days ago.

Darkstar is eating like a champ. Put it at 550ppm on Saturday after getting my meter. Was at 150ppm lol. Yesterday she was at 480ppm at 6.0 from 5.8 over 48hours.

Stinkbomb to left of Darkstar(going to.number these tonight with a new entry with pictures) is at 5.8/440ppm over 48hours. Stinkbomb to right was at 5.9/460ppm and the one in front of it was 6.0/340ppm. Upped it to 480.

The shitty one in the front left is at 260ppm still. I think this was def. and not a burn. Looks like Calcium now. Going to up the feed and see what happens. She shouldnt be at this low feed while all her sisters ate thriving at 500ppm

Going to start journaling more frequently and more detailed...for all the people who read this...

Day 32:

SAM_2507.JPG SAM_2509.JPG
T.H. Seeds DarkStar
- 6.0/440ppm (ppm dropped from 480ppm last night....took pH down to 5.6) - Appears to be showing some over-nitrification on the top fan leaves. Turning a dark green. I may have to tweek that 5-2-6 ratio with bloom food since its apparent my feed is too low already and adding more veg food would probably make the issue worse. What do you guys think? *crickets*

SAM_2497.JPG SAM_2499.JPG
Archive Seeds Stinkbomb #1 - 5.8/450ppm (dropped from 480ppm last night...kept pH where it is) - Doing the best out of all of them. Only minor petiole purpling. No leaf blemishes.

SAM_2503.JPG SAM_2505.JPG
Archive Seeds Stinkbomb #2 - 6.2/400ppm (dropped from 460ppm last night...took pH down to 5.6) - Tied for second best with #3 - Getting some odd yellowing around the tips and the purpling has moved onto the stalk. This one and #1 are more FaceOff OG bx #2 dominant.

SAM_2510.JPG SAM_2511.JPG
Archive Seeds Stinkbomb #3 - 5.9/410ppm (dropped from 440ppm last night...kept pH where it is) - Tied for second. This one appears to be a different pheno than #1 and #2 having a very stocky growth, smells more like the cat piss so I imagine that's more of the NorCal Cat Piss coming out in this one, which I hear is a stocky plant(just looked it up).

SAM_2512.JPG SAM_2495.JPG
Archive Seeds Stinkbomb #4 - 5.8/270ppm (ppm stayed the same...so maybe ppm's are right) - Worst plant by far. Another NorCal Cat Piss dominant. What does these spots look like? Looks like Calcium to me, not sure though.

Day 34 (yesterday):

Changed their reservoirs, moved them under the HPS so they can have more room. Going to take down the tent today and move them back where the tent was and back under the veg light.

Demo'ed some walls to make room for the new veg room. Just need to find some time to build them up, possibly next weekend. Got 40A of dedicated power finally. 20A for veg lights and misc. equipment like fans and pumps, should be plenty (700w of veg light, 3 exhaust fans and 6 circulating fans, 2 air pumps and 1 water pump). The other 20A for 1200w of flower light.

No more shared 15A. Time to buy more fixtures now!

Stinkbomb #1 - 6.2/390
Stinkbomb #2 - 6.4/330
Stinkbomb #3 - 6.2/370
Stinkbomb #4 - 6.0/260
Dark Star - 5.8/390

After res change out (stopped the Heavy 16 as im not sure the ratios for cal and mag are right. Theres like 5% Ca and 1.5% Mg. The calmag i've been using is more like a 2.5:1 ratio. Using Ionic Grow, Protekt, Magical)

Stinkbomb #1 - 5.2/570 (went a little heavy on the pH down)
Stinkbomb #2 - 5.8/550
Stinkbomb #3 - 5.8/570
Stinkbomb #4 - 5.7/420
Dark Star - 5.8/560

Day 35: Sunday 5/3/2015

Stinkbomb #1 - 6.2/540 -> 5.8/540
Stinkbomb #2 - 6.5/530 -> 5.6/530
Stinkbomb #3 - 6.4/570 -> 5.5/570
Stinkbomb #4 - 6.5/420 -> 5.8/420
Dark Star - 6.4/560 -> 5.6/560

Day 36: Monday 5/4/2015

Stinkbomb #1 - 5.5/480 -> 5.8/480 (dropped 60ppm overnight and .3 pH drop) TOTAL PPM DROP OF 90
Stinkbomb #2 - 6.0/480 -> 5.7/480 (dropped 50ppm overnight and .4pH rise) TOTAL PPM DROP OF 70
Stinkbomb #3 - 5.8/540 -> let it ride (dropped 30ppm overnight and .3pH rise) TOTAL PPM DROP OF 30
Stinkbomb #4 - 6.0/400 -> 5.8/400 (dropped 20ppm overnight and .2pH rise) TOTAL PPM DROP OF 20
Dark Star - 5.7/520 -> 5.8/520 (dropped 40ppm overnight and .2pH rise) TOTAL PPM DROP OF 40

Will monitor the progress...I may still be underfeeding a tad. The Mg def. seems to not be progressing further. Which is what I assume that yellowing around the edges is. Interveinal chlorosis is starting to set in.

I'm curious as to what exactly the interveinal chlorosis looks like. I had some very similar but pretty minor damage like you are displaying.

I'll take a picture when I get home, I can only see it under blue light. The HPS I have wasn't showing anything.

Its like an area of yellowing between the veins that works in like a diffused pattern. Like you took a template with a bunch of pinholes and sprayed yellow paint between the veins of the leaf.

Best way I can describe it.

What do us guys think? Well, this cricket sees a nicely dialed in system. Looks pretty solid.

Am I missing daily readings of temp and RH? Definitely should be watching those too, as they make a big difference in how the plants will uptake water and nutes.

FWIW, I run my whole veg including freshly rooted clones at 1.3-1.5 EC. I'm not sure which ppm scale you're using (EC x 500? 700? 840?), but my guess is that you're feeding them a bit light. Less intense lighting, lower RH, lower temps would all tend to prefer lower solution strength, so that may also help explain things.

I've noticed that once they have any roots at all, they really want more light- so I harden them off to it early by lowering my T5 array down an inch or so every day until it's just a couple of inches above the tallest tops. Then they really take off!

Thanks Ttystikk. Im wicked critical of my grows...well of everything.

Both my.hygrometers went recently and I havent replaced them. Looking for controls instead as monitoring is only so good.

I use the 500 scale. So 1-1.1EC is where they at. I generally start seedlings at .4EC and work up as im always afraid of burning my seedlings.

I like feedback on what others use. Helps me define a limit.

As for the lights I always keep the T5 a couple inches from the tops except when they are babies.

Noticing a slower than usual recovery currently after a topped them...going on day 11 and the two new tops are only an inch. The bottom branching seems like its going to outpace the tops.

Thanks for stopping. Going to have a picture update later.

The bottoms are taking all the nutrients from the tops. You gotta strip that stuff off for the plants to accelerate their growth. Obviously, you don't do it all at once so the plant is denuded, but only let those shoots you want to keep continue to grow. The rest is trash- and the sooner the better.

Since I plan on scrogging I wanted to keep as much branching as possible. But youre right it is robbing the tops. Underfeeding this whole.time probably made things worse.

Ill have to check out these vine clips. I used the twine for the grid for the screen. But im in the market for.reusable tie downs since I want to start lsting.them

Parts list:

(4) 16" pieces for the outriggers
( 8 ) 2-3/16" pieces for the small square
( 8 ) 10-1/2" pieces for the grid. I did mine slightly under 24" total square so they can fit in my 4x4 tent. (
(2) 1/4"x2" nylon screws. They only had 3" so I had to cut em down. ($1.42)
(4) 1/4" neoprene washers. Think they are 1/2" OD ($0.86)
(2) 1/4" nylon nuts ($0.67)
(4) 90 deg elbows ($0.68 )
(12) tees ($2.04)

13'-10" pipe ($4.92)

$10.59 per screen.

Expensive and time consuming DIY but that thing is solid and I could not find anything like this online for purchase. I'm going to come up with elbows off those tees and make an area to tie off buds to.
Found it. I Rikey

Stink Bomb 1 & 2 need a nute increase. I started them at 570 and 550 respectively. Think #1 needs to be at 1.3EC and #2 at 1.2EC. I'll add some bloom food to them. Be flower ready in 2 weeks, most of them. #3 and #4 are slacking.

Darkstar could probably use an increase to 1.2EC as well. Rest can stay where they're at until they prove worthy.

#4 is picking up steam with the new food increase.

Hoping for all females. They all look promising. I just hope I get a keeper of each pheno.
