Earlier this week President Obama took responsibility for a drone strike that killed 2 hostages, an American and a Italian, held by al Qaida in Pakistan. It was announced today that a special yearlong review of US policy and reaction to hostage situations was nearly complete, and it is expected to include changes in how we negotiate with hostage takers.
The families of the 7 most recent American hostages taken, and the families of the other 82 hostages taken since 2001 (didn't think there were that many, did you?) were involved in the review, and one of the things being discussed, was the present policy of the US government, which is that the payment of ransom to a kidnapper is not happening ( Bergdahl doesn't count). That part kind of irks the families of the dead Americans, considering that European countries routinely do pay the ransom, and save their people (pussies)
So, what do you think the US should do when presented with a ransom note? Fork over the cash, or just simply say I really don't give a fuck what you with them, chop off their heads for all I care. Which seems to be the case now

Kill them with drone strikes before they're beheaded, it'd go down as collateral damage instead of a kidnapping then.

Funny that in order to get the money to pay a ransom, they would first have to steal it from other people.

What are the numbers of kidnappings since 2001 of people from countries that pay ransom? Would paying ransom cause kidnappings to go up?

It has in the past.

The "war on drugs" has been about kidnapping and ransoms when you think about it.

on your way out of the village from bartering rabbit pelts you shot at 5am, you happen to be passing by the public square and notice a consensual gathering of like minded individuals..the gentlemen to your left (with neckbeard), removes his fedora and passes it to the right..are you going to contribute? yes or no.

Why are the people gathered? Simply to pass a fedora around?
are they still ripping pages out of the text books where you live..your question is why it's not a good thing:wall:

did you even read the thread?

who the hell knows?..they're emo's milling around..i don't know it's RR's version of utopia..it was a theoretical question in which to trap the sasquatch but he doesn't want to take my bait.:cuss:

they are passing the fedora around for the ransom.

RR is the first prospective donor as the hat is passed to him.

does he donate of free will or does he just pass the hat?

I've never seen a worse explanation and your original post was convoluted and non-sensical...you need to try using less marijuanas at a time.

First, you have to be there to get kidnapped. then, you can`t pay ransom`s as a Government of the People. Here`s why.

I got your ocean liner with a barrel bomb in Blue water. 3,500 people and I got swimming if you don`t give me three Nukes. Point,....who sets the limit ?

Your mother.

And she especially appreciated all my "input" last night.
