I dnt wanna be that 'is it done yet', 'how much will I yield' guy, but it'd be a damn waste to get it wrong n pull early after all this time.

I don't even really look at trich color anymore. Some strains produce better bud if harvested early (all clear+cloudy) and others a week or so later with some color. Best to see what works best for you + the strain. I agree, after looking at the large version of the pic that it's not done yet, but will also say that I prefer haze hybrids that are harvested relatively early. You could harvest the top half or so from some colas early and let the rest go 3-5 days longer.

No worries, but yeah, would be a shame to pull too early after 3-4 months of growing. Patience pays off at this stage more than any other. You need something to distract you from checking them daily when they get towards the end, like keeping the GF happy so she doesn't pull the plug on your stinky tent

Haha yeah better get that straightened out. I'm gonna try and find those things rm3 mentioned as a temporary solution until the ona bucket makes it's way here.

That's probably the best bet - pull some slightly earlier, and let some of it mature further - n then test it to decide what's the 'best', since it can be preferential. Probably hold off at least another week from now before the 'early' part gets pulled, but I'ma get better pictures up for you guys tonight

Decided to take a 'small' nug from down lower to sample - got the drying tent assembled, n it's chillin' in there right now. I'm gonna let it fully cure before trying the sample, but figured getting a jump start on the sneak peak wouldn't hurt

Here's those collapsed colas. Got it tied up a little better after this pic was taken so hopefully it can finish up w.o falling over again.

GG 1 is back to looking pretty rough again. kinda embarrassed to post pictures of it atm >D She'll finish up alright, but I'm definitely not getting the full potential outa her. All the heat n the excessive nitrogen took a toll on her development. She was originally lining up to yield a ridiculous amount of bud compared to the other ladies, but I'm not quite sure anymore. Guess we'll see

the css is the first plant ive grown that almost exclusively grew buds on the top - its got some of the shortest colas in the group, but by far the fattest

Well I could have waited a little longer but I needed room for the SBA clone to move into the flowering tent so I pulled the original SBA down finally. Boiled the roots (@RM3 ) on Wed. morning, let it sit in the tent a bit more until Friday night n then chopped her down on day 56 of flower. I'll take the sba clone down at around 65-70 days and compare the 2 to see what I prefer smoke wise. I'm not a big fan of quick dried samples so it'll be a while before I get a chance to try her out.


She had her fair share of popcorn buds down lower that all went into the trim bin. Kept only the decent nugs (well a couple small ones made it into the 'quality' bin, but most got removed).



I'm playing around w/ the drying / curing this round. I chopped down one cola into small individual nugs, n only dried them for 2 days (got low humidity :X), then jarred w/ boveda. Been watching that jar closely, gonna get it to stabilize around 62% before I feel comfortable leaving it for longer durations without rotating the buds and burping the jars. The rest of the SBA got left as bigger chunks n will be dried much slower. Trying to dial it in between speed / still getting a smooth smoke. Maybe rm3's boiling method will help n that department

Gonna have to go back through and manicure more thoroughly. Lookin' at these pics I see a couple leaves tht could be snipped out better. I'm not doing this for profit, so I have been trimming a little closer than I probably would if weight was a concern. IDK tho, those sugar leaves were caked w/ trichs so maybe I shouldn't be removing as much??

GG 3 is almost ready for the axe. She's actually slightly more mature than the SBA was when it came down. I'll try n grab some decent pics of her tonight, n probably pull her down next weekend. Her apical dominance was spread thinner than the sba (more main colas) so she could use the additional swelling this week before harvest time. Buncha smaller colas basically

Nice! Hope you're keeping that trim/popcorn, those edibles or hash later are like bonus treats!
