Well my device is pretty good value compared to others this size . It prints plastic . I can make anything out of PLA with a 6 inch by 6 inch by 6 inch ( volume ) print. However the limitations are obvious as GE , Ford , Hershey have all invested mega bucks in this technology to produce lots of things for cars , airplane parts , food/chocolate. It's only going to get better .
Actually, now that you mention it, I do remember seeing the car. It's not exactly setting records, but it is "the first", so one can't expect an F1 to come zipping out of there.I'm still tinkering . They've actually have started printing cars Already and have started laying skin graphs down with actual human skin tissue via 3d printer . Type in google ( 3d printed car) their out of Arizona . Small car over 90 something percent printed !
Some do need some buffing out and such but it depends on what we are printing with . Different plastics different results . I'll def post more soonActually, now that you mention it, I do remember seeing the car. Well, if you make any more things, please post them. BTW what's the practical resolution of yours? 1mm?
And do your pieces need sanding or any post print treatment?
