giving defoliation during flower a try

If your so successfull at this why haven't you got a quality camera and lighting to take pics? Also if you trimmed bud like that in Cali, you would never sell at clubs for top shelf. Period. End of story. All that stem and leaf sticking all the way around..... It doesn't look bad, but more like outdoor trimmed by teens..... And no it's not the camera.
Um apparently u dont read well either. I said its not done being trimmed dumb dumb. So read whole post not just look at a picture. Thank you

Looks like lollypopping but more advanced.

Frankly a little childish because you, I, and everyone else who read those posts surely remembers, but to illustrate:
Yeah exactly. I dont need to figure out npk ratios because i run advanced nutrients they have scientists who formulate the nutrients so u add with water and im done. Whats so hard to understand abou that?

If u asked me what my npk ratios were i couldnt tell u. Unless i go grab the jug and look at the label. So whats ur point?

All my finished work looks like this. Here a picture with a better camera. And i do have a good camera but i use an ipad how am i gonna upload camera photos to my ipad is a pain in the ass and i dont need to do it unless u wanna see them on here, so heres a pic i uploaded of the final trimmed pieces and a better pixel ratio with lighting u need so u can see it. Ok buddy. U hapoy now? Geez...

I didnt know i needed to have professional pictures to satsify you. Kinda funny u guys can find a way to nit pick anything everyone says or does on here yet im the only one backing up my shit with pictures and proof, that what im doing works. Inlet my work speak for itself, but u guys can find any reason to bs that u can do is just ridiculous. Funny noone got shit to say bout my veg room, cuz u cant. So obviously what i been saying is true and works otherwise i wouldnt get the results i get. Everyone got their own ways and methods. Diff shit works for diff people, like i said before what works for me may not work for you and vice versa, but proof is in the pudding!! Period.

I take pics with phone and iPad all the time. All pics posted so far are from them. And your right, loading to iPad sucks. My phone excepts pics from my camera and then send to iPad. Very nice looking bud. Thanx for the better pic. I wouldn't take a pic of partially trimmed bud. Untrimed yes. Fully trimmed yes. Your resin content looks good. Is that canna grown?

Shit well anyways yeah u can see diff just between what type camera takes a pic and lighting huge diff. I just find funny that other dude tells me he can tell how good a bud is by a pic online which this proves u cant. Because professional camera vs ipad of same flowers dont even look like they r same strain or buds and they are. I was just trying prove a point.

But yeah thats dope. I got layd bugs that have done that actually kinda funny lol

Half pics of the quote un quote "bud porn" online are all photo edited and color changes and shit adding crazy lighting and up close res shots. U can make mediocre buds look amazing with a computer.

As these dudes can make themselves seem like pioneers making up whatever they want on the internet. I think by backing up my statements and methods with pictures says alot more than these dudes who cant even post a pic but can talk all kinds of bs. Hopefully ppl see through the bs and the truth.

But yeah in regards to defoliating cuz thats the threads topic. I proly strip about 20% of interior fan leaves during bloom. But thats only cuz i run trellising and i need to. If u running big monsters like the room i showed earlier. Im not gonna defoliate those cuz i got em on dollys and i just spin em a quarter turn every day no scrog or trellis just tomatoe stake evverything. Outdoors defoliation is pointless and when running large plants in huge containers with a ton of lighting i wouldnt recommend either.

Defoliating IMO is for the small closet growers who have been LST their plants or runnig SOG or packing rooms and trellising and lollipopping bottom plants to focus on top 1/3 for huge colas. Thats when ur gonna increase ur yields by defoliating them.

My wife is one of those tree hugging vegetarians that is all about organic stuff put into her body. She too says she can taste the difference between organic grown and chemically grown weed.

Several years ago I rolled two joints of the same weed...grown in Jacks. I told her one was organic and the other was not. I asked her to pick the organic joint. After hitting on both, she was absolutely sure one of the joints was organic as she pointed out that it taste better and not "chemically".

The point I'm making is that for many the whole chemical taste thing is in their heads.
Yep, we're a nation that feels, not thinks. DEMAND that she watch this!

Yet you know it differs per strain and grow method, and you know you should read your plants, yet you depend on AN and Canna scientists to create the perfect one-ratio-fits-all ratio, but per your words you don't care about that "period", it's all "bs"...

Really dude, you're just being immature now. No fun... that quote of yours was after several of us explained to you your PK boosters and other scam products merely skew the ratio. It's part of the base nutes, but rebottled and repriced. When you figured out there's no way you could fool people here like you do clients, you could no longer deny that, you went on to vitamins and how canna and AN have better salts... newbie section stuff.

So whats ur point?
My point was that you've called other liars for calling you on your own words, which you then lie about having posted.

Good pic though, your stuff just moved up a couple of spots on the menu. It's now the most expensive on the cheap end. Seriously, looks good, I'd be "hapoy" seeing that in a bag I just bought. Don't need Canna or AN to get that though...

Alright. Went back to page 2 and such. It was alright,, but I'm looking on how to improve this stuff.

Apples to oranges ,maybe,, but here is where I'm at....

this is a Auto that was fed plain old chemical nutes from Walmart. Did a bunch of Defoliating(?) along it's way. Kept topping, fiming, LSTing, and just plain thinning it out to make it work in my confined space. I started "training" while in the very early veg stage and had to continue through out flower.
Don't think it came out too terribly bad,, but hoping to learn how to improve upon it.
Being a Auto Flower plant there was no way I could extend the veg to compensate. I'm sure it suffered and would of done better outdoors with tons of room and all.. but still... What could I do to improve on it in the limited grow space I had to deal with?
Looking for some good info here,,, not a bunch of sandbox kid shit. Would love a civil conversation on the subject... PLEASE?

The whole grow is "documented" here:
https://www.rollitup.org/t/auto-flower-cage-match-revised.381466/page-17

Was in Kulong's Cage Match., a Auto Flower grow competition awhile back on this site. Perhaps a little dated but relevant none the less. I don't post many "grows" from start to finish like that anymore on the 'net. Sorry.

Still,, I'm all ears for some help in how to improve my grow. Details please?

I stand corrected, must've posted just before me. Never grown an auto, but since there is no environmental control used in relation to flowering, I would play it safe and assume that any trimming/pruning/defol done might actually hurt overall yield in an autoflower as it is often based on the age and not "size" of a plant. Although, whether the hormone levels must build to a point of initiating flower, and how that may be impacted by the defol or training is unknown to me. To spare all the reading on your whole grow, how long did your auto go before showing pistols? First time with that strain? If you haven't, I'd recommend you grow it out normally (no training or additional stress) at least to give you an idea or baseline of where you should expect to see your strain at in time/development. That way you can determine whether you're improving or hurting your grow. Not much help here, but maybe someone else will chime in.

Your first problem is auto flowers should not be touched. Do not top them or fim them or defoliate them, they dont have time to recover. If u run an auto only stick to training them without cutting or removing branches or foliage.

That particular strain (and first Auto too) was new to me. I have grown it since and grew it pretty straight up without playing too much with it. I have to say when I did it was in a bigger room with HID lighting instead of the CFLs of the small spaced cab. I will say the ones in more space were bigger overall,, and the quantity of bud was greater.. but this one had way better quality as far as potency, taste AND smell were concerned.
However,, unfortunately with Autos one can not take clones to try a comparison side - by. And the Phenos on these things can and are all over the place. They lack consistency to begin with from seed to seed & plant to plant. Makes comparing tough.
But figure someone with good knowledge may pick something up right off just from seeing. Like maybe more / less branching, More / less leaf removal or maybe something in the pic screams "too much in flower" or some such.

I'm open to suggestions PK sounded like one that was "In the Know". Thought he's offer some ideas from what he and others see? .
