You're good at lying to yourself. All those welfare recipients are on it for fun, I'm sure.

The polling is junk. Sorry. It's a computerized poll setup in a way to minimize unemployment numbers for the government. You can thank Reagan and then Clinton for the changes in how it's reported. Numbers would have looked bad (well, they weren't great already, but even worse) early in their administrations otherwise.
so the monthly survey, whose methodology you have demonstrated you do not even remotely understand, is just a conspiracy then?

Conspiracy implies secrecy, but of course for you it's simply a tactic to discredit. There's nothing secret about how it's collected and many economists do not believe it is an accurate number with good cause.

Low unemployment and record welfare consumption. Who knew they'd go hand in hand? Buck did of course! And the BLS.

That's ridiculous. Stats are not made invalid by an opinion expressed in a different paragraph.
As OGE has been painstakingly pointing out, many of those 'facts' are contrived, like 6% unemployment. Other 'facts' sure must not have been apparant to a majority of American households - you may have noticed the resounding rejection of these so-called facts that aren't translating into a better life experience to the majority of voters.

So we have Mr Bootstraps in one corner, a doom and gloom in the other, some arguing semantics, others nonsense... this thread is glorious!
Who is this 'doom and gloom' person you speak of? Me?

If so, let me assure you, TY. My view as to where the world is headed, and the speed at which it's heading there, does not make me 'gloomy' in the least. Perhaps you've noticed?

I've told you - I'm prepared regardless of how it all plays out, and that makes me extremely not gloomy.

Mid terms Amos. Minorities, young voters, dem/liberals in general have very poor turnout. Wait until the general election.

I'm willing to wager a pack of seeds that whomever the Republicans run will get trounced by Hillary. :-)

if there's nothing secret about it, then why were you so unaware of who gets counted as unemployed?

TANF is at 2 million families, down from much higher.

why are you choosing to ignore this?

calling people, asking them if they have been looking for work, and recording the data is "contrived"?

sounds like you think scientific polling is some sort of a conspiracy.

Which pack? bongsmilie

You and I both know that it doesn't really matter who the next president is. Have you seen the warnings being put out in Missouri in anticipation of the forthcoming racial protests? Residents in the area of Ferguson are being advised to store up at least a week's worth of non-perishable foods and water.

I'll see your pack of se=eds, and raise you a pack - wagering that 'sympathy' protests in other cities are already planned, and will happen. Is that a bet?

Whatever, UB.

Forgive me if I choose to debate others who offer higher entertainment value. I disagree with others more than you, but you're just a drag.

Take it easy.....:peace:

Your assuming they aren't going to charge him like they did zimmerman only to find him not guilty and make a big media circus out of this as they are one to do... gotta give the people a show.
and I am sure if they don't charge him there will be sympathy protests, not riots though. If you want to bet on riots taking place outside of MO I will take you up on that though.
