I dont need an explanation. I studied theology at a roman catholic boarding school.
But please continue with your delusional thinking if that is what gets you thru life.
Yes, your grade school education at a catholic school gave you all the knowledge you need to make an informed decision based off your incorrect material you have presented here. I too went to catholic school. Your claim to authority is a poor one.

Not at all, only proving that you are incorrect in you "knowledge" of the subject. I actually used your technique of Google to bring about information quickly. I just brought accurate Reading material to the discussion.

If this was directed at me you are incorrect.
It was not towards you.

So your argument has now fallen to the low of claiming authority based off the fact that you went to a college prep school that happened to be catholic. What apologetic classes did you take? Did they offer an atheist class that refuted the Bible, or does all your knowledge come from the first hit on Google?

No they just presented the bible as text to be analysed. e.g. 40 in the bible doesnt actually mean 40 just means a measure of time.
You sound desperate to prove your world view. What happens if you realize your beliefs are bullshit? Will you mentally break down?

Well looky here
A website in Florida to telling christians how to vote in the election. With bible passages
http://www.flvotesvalues.com/
Amendment 2 – Use of Marijuana for Certain Medical Conditions
Recommendation: Vote No
A YES VOTE
legalizes the smoking of marijuana in all 67 Florida counties for “any condition”, which could include fatigue, depression, body aches, nausea, pain, and headaches. Any person at least 21 years of age could be considered a “caregiver” and sell the drug without a prescription. There are no age restrictions or parental consent requirements, so minor children would be eligible to buy and smoke marijuana without their parents’ permission.1
A NO VOTE allows Florida’s current law against buying, selling and smoking marijuana to remain in effect. Voting against this amendment will not affect the 2014 law which was passed in the state legislature and allows for a special strain of non-euphoric medical marijuana in a pill to be prescribed by physicians to treat children with certain seizures and to be used for other debilitating medical conditions.1
Romans 13:13-14 – “Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.” (NKJV)

So figuring out if the Bible is literal or not gave you authority to speak on the truth of what it says? You must do much better than that.

Not desperate. I started this as just stating that not all Christian conservatives are against marijuana laws, and both you and UB jumped on the religious bashing train asap. I'm just presenting an argument that shuts yours down. I ask for support for your view and you bring old disproven arguments to the table. Just bad.

I stay very current on cosmology which currently is the only real topic I believe atheists have a leg to stand on. Objective moral values, evil, the historicity and accuracy of the Bible, the fine tuning argument, along with the theist arguments for cosmology pointing to a creator all support the belief in God. It would actually take a LOT to change my mind.

Your fellow christians disagree with you, and for most of your beliefs the rest of us rational people disagree as well.

Yes a lot of Christians are against it. I'm not one of them. Rational people actually research something before deciding. What is irrational about God?

If God exists and created everything, including time, then he transcends time which means your argument is invalid. There is no cause and effect outside of time.

Next question? And please, no more beginner questions, unless you are actually looking for an answer.

The overwhelming majority are;

Objective moral values, evil, the historicity and accuracy of the Bible, the fine tuning argument, along with the theist arguments for cosmology pointing to a creator all support the belief in God. It would actually take a LOT to change my mind.
There is no such thing as 'objective moral values'

'Evil' is exclusively a human perception, and again, not objective in the least

There is nothing historically accurate about the bible

The fine tuning argument is complete bullshit predicated by simple minds

Really? So not murdering kids isn't something that everyone knows to be true without being told so? I strongly disagree.

Not the perception of evil. But evil as being an argument for the existence of God. I admit this is not the strongest argument, but it is more for than against God's existence.

Nothing historically accurate? This is factually wrong according to the majority of historians on the planet. If it is not accurate, then any history past a couple hundred years isnot either. You have to judge all history by the same standards. When that is done, it is the most historically accurate book by far of its time.

The fine tuning argument is math. Very simple. Penrose found the probability of our universe permitting life to be less than 1 for every particle in the universe. That is such ridiculous odds that only the blind would not see the argument for it.

Anything else you want to bring up?

Better ideas, but still poorly made arguments. I'm still winning guys.
