Doctors that'll sign for a minor(my son).

Oh believe me, I'm not just taking everything out of his mouth as the truth. He's very open and tells me what he's feeling, his symptoms, etc, but the reason I say I don't know how he feels is just because I really don't know what's true and what's not.
Of course I believe him when he tells me things, but I don't think any 15y/o tells their mother the complete truth about things, especially emotions and the like.

Then from this post alone, cannabis, and for depression, even pills are not what you should be focusing on.

Cannabis is amazing for depression, it saved my life. That was for long term suicidal depression. But even for small scale depression, cannabis is good, but in my mind, if you're an adult. For that scale of depression, I just don't see the benefit in not trying to get the kid to grow some balls. at that age I would only offer medical cannabis if it was a life or death situation, and you dont have any reason to think that is the case by the sound of it.

If it so serious a situation, he will tell you about it or you will learn about it. Self harm typically builds up to the tipping point, it takes extreme circumstances to got from healthy to dead. Normally there is a heads up. This may be morbid, but if the situation is severe enough for medical cannabis then this has to be accepted as a possibility. And as I've said, many people misuse the term depressed or depression, especially among younger teenagers.

I really appreciate the post.
If you wouldn't mind...what strains helped you the most with the depression?...Sativas?
It is so cool that people are willing to share their experiences.
I'm glad you you found cannabis.

I mean, he does cut...he's been admitted to a psychiatric ward for attempting suicide... I usually don't mention that because I get a lot of "marijuana isn't good for suicidal people" and "marijuana will kill your kid faster".
Like, I don't know how I can describe his mental state other than using the term depressed...

You might get that attitude here, but someone else will step up and give support to the flip side.

I'm glad you you found cannabis.

I am from rural England. There are no strains, just green, and if there is a strain, "its mush mate, yet mate". Whatever I smoked, it helped, so given the illegal market, most likely an indica,

I lived that level of depression for many years, so fully appreciate what it is like. It is torture. So having gotten through it, I will always offer my thoughts on the issue if someone is in need.

IMO it should most definitely be used then. You don't know what doors it can open in his mind, apparently it has opened something to the extent that he sought your advise after trying it himself. He can meet a lot of really cool people and be exposed to so many wonderful things on this journey that can change his outlook on life, hell maybe growing can get him out of his funk, I quit my career making great money to grow, My GF doesn't want me to go back because she sees I am different person now. Maybe he will find that growing is enough medicine for himself that he doesn't need to consume. Maybe getting involved in the medical community making tinctures for others can give him more of a reason to live out his life. It is my biggest fear that my son will get to the point where he wants to harm himself and I can only imagine the feelings and emotions that you felt hearing that news for the first time.

He saw a physiotherapist initially after the injury, and nothing came of it. We stuck with her for a few months but he decided that he didn't see a change.

Out of curiosity was the physiotherapy for the concussion? I'm truly interested as I've worked in the field for a few years and have never heard of such a thing. Sounds like maybe some balance training if it was a bad concussion.

The first time I heard of him self harming was when he came into my room in the middle of the night and whispered "I cut too deep, I need to go to a hospital"... I wish I never had to hear those words, but I'm glad that he doesn't have to suffer in absolute silence anymore, I suppose..

During the same accident, he broke his arm and fractured a couple other bones, so we went to physio for that. The doctor though, great man, did balance training and made referrals for other specialists and MRIs at the local university(for the concussion), etc.
Very difficult being a parent at times eh!
No kidding!
