And according to some recent number-crunching by Robert Jones of the Public Religion Research Institute, there's a good deal of truth to that statement.

Why is racial disparity such an issue in the US and what can be done to overcome this?

Will events like those seen in Ferguson going to become commonplace within the coming years if social and economic conditions don't improve and our superficial differences become the sparks that lights the powder keg?

The problem with this study is that no one has 100 friends except on a computer based reality. Most people only have a few friends at most, and if you have 1 or 2 friends that last your entire lifetime, consider yourself lucky.

How about the fact that black people represent 12-13% of the US population whereas white people represent about 63%? There's 5 white people for every 1 black person. Add to this the fact that black people aren't evenly spread across the country. In some areas it's over 80% white people.

i had two best friends in high school and one of them was black.

there was one black friend in our circle of about a dozen friends in college, so slightly underrepresented.

now i don't really have friends. growing pot can make anyone a recluse. my only friend is kelly4, and he's so white he makes mr. rogers building model train sets look like snoop dogg composing rap lyrics.
