i've been told by the boss lady that i'm not allowed a deep fat fryer, fire risk when drunk :dunce:

sucks though there's loads of good stuff to be done. guess it's keeping me thin (ner....)

i once burned a building to the ground. fell asleep deep-frying. woke up on the way to icu. The paramedic told me my chicken balls were too crispy. I said "least i have balls'. shoulda kept my mouth shut. bastards told the nurses i had a hypo in my back pocket. was refused pain meds till a patch of melted skin landed on the floor. I'm still attacked with tomatoes if i go back to that neighbourhood. aaaah memories.....

they seem pretty popular in tempura.......
Bleurgh! I can just about handle tempura spinach or rainbow chard, but other than that, I just don't enjoy it, and it makes me wonder why I'm going to the effort and expensive of eating vegetables when I'm counteracting the healthy side of it. Might as well just have some bacon :-)

Soft shell is very different to your normal white/brown crab meat from texture to flavour. Damned hard to find though :( It is all about the tempura prawns though at the end of the day. Bit of aioli, bit of thick soy, some bean sprouts, sweet chilli. Shabba!
