Is it crumbling up with a waxy texture???
If that is the case your resin was not dry enough when you pressed or humidity somehow build up in your trims before processing.
For example you cannot leave your trims in a car trunk in full sun, etc.
It should not have lowered down quality only texture

yah it crumbles up waxy but after a month or so i can put a piece on my fingers and rub it and it goes to kinda soft satin pwdery. i have been storing my trim in a deep freezer for usually 3-7 days before use. quality is super it taste great and smells just like the jesus og it comes from and still fullmelts just cant seem to get it too keep the texture after a like 3 wks or so. oh and rh where i store is usually low 50s at about 70-74 temp and those pic in the previous post are after its been in jar for 65 days with me smoking on it during that time

Be careful also about the size of the container in which you cure, you want little oxygen with your pressed hash as you do for your flowers. I have never had my waxy textured hash change to satin powdery, have you tried to press it again???
Quality resin should press again with a source of heat

yah it will press with hardly any heat at all just repressed it only have a tiny bit but too some pics have too excuse the little hair didnt see til i took the pics

Thanks Frenchy for sharing your knowledge. I have a small grow so I only get a couple small runs a yr in. This is how I spent yesterday afternoon.

Here's my starting material, 3.2 gm from a mix of mostly sativa girls. The resin has cured for over 6 months.




Just letting the hot water bottle sit under some pressure for a min or so, you can see the resin start to change.


After 1/2hr maybe a little more of pressing.


At this point my wrists were shot, so I heated the oven to 140, then put the packet in for about 6min, removed and folded the sheet, and pressed out with bottle again, which didn't take very long, with the little bit of preheating. I rolled a cannoli but it just didn't feel just right, not like hash I remember. So I folded it again, put it back in the oven, then took it out to the garage and put in the "Hash Press" I let it cool completely in the press. Now the texture is very consistent, and smooth, very little grain. Today it is very firm to hard

Frenchy, I ran my sticks and fan leaf leftovers ,

After coffee and a cookie [working under "cover of dankness" so to speak] I proceeded ,190 catch bag 160 and 45 two washes pretty well depleted the" leftovers"
Result, almost nothing in the 160 but the 45 produced a nice yield for cooking. The resin was greenish but is going towards yellow as it dries. This whole exercise of hash making has been very instructive as I can see what I'd left in the mix before I became aware of cleaning the trim by removing this funky material. Not to mention understanding much more about the various hash types I've encountered over the years.

Not separating microns is one of the corner stone of my belief in learning from tradition.
I would never change that.
