What I mean is that everything from 120 to 70 is in the 70 bags.
Not separating microns is one of the corner stone of my belief in learning from tradition.
I would never change that.
I know that Frenchy I've been following you since you came to RIU.
I got it now I was a bit confused, I was thinking it should have been 160 - 70 but the 160 stays in the 160 bag so your wording was right in saying 120 - 70 lol my bad, I just thought maybe you added a bag thats all Keep up the great work and videos would like to see some more Hash making videos though :)

There is so much I can show on a video while I work, the process is so simple, what make the difference is in the details of every steps.
The Lost Art of the Hashishin Workshop is the tool I need to give first, a perspective on oral traditions, the origins of concentrate and of sieving with a little tour of producing countries. If your goal is to make a product better than anybody as ever done in thousand of years, it would make sense to not only learn everything there is to learn about it but also to check up what is done in producing countries. You also need to learn everything about the trichomes and the terpenes, knowledge is power and it will make a difference in the way you work. Once you have that basic knowledge it is time to study the actual sieving procedure and to apply all you have learned in order to maximize quality.

I really wish I had went to the cup, but I did hear from a friend that I wouldn't of liked it cuz of being closterphobic and how many people were there.

I have a tendency toward claustrophobia as well and your buddy was right, crowded to the point of being uncomfortable but manageable

I have seen some incredible resin (not being pressed I will not call it hash) both dry sieve and water. TC may have filmed the dry sieve and if you have never seen dry sieve at its finest that would have been it.
Actually I have a little left and I will take a pic for you guys.
I also felt very proud as a teacher, I have seen some cannoli to drool for and some very nice unpressed resin.

It was a great pleasure to meet you at the cup last weekend. Sorry we didn't get a pic together but it was great smoking and listening to you talk about what you do. We still need to talk about you and Colorado.

Ive had my washer for a month now. Did a small run as i only had 1 gallon bags. Took way to long to drain. Water was too green after a 15 minute soak. And material beat to hell. The work bags drained fast, it was the collecting bags that were slow. Took a good rinsing to rid the color.

Q: Is there too long of a soak time? Im thinking 30 min minimum. Are there drawbacks from too long of a soak? Dry, never frozen stored in a tote. About a month and a half old.

Finally some time off, new 5 gallon bags, and about an hp of material to run. I wanna get washing!!!

30 minutes minimum is a very long soaking time, you definitely can cut it down by almost half. You have to judge the soaking time by the trims, you just want to eliminate brittleness that is all.
Your problem was with the material , it has to be treated super gently and should NEVER look beaten up.

Duly noted.
It was really dry, and pretty sure i used too much ice. as my second wash was still full and didnt need to add more.

Less ice, and im going to check out the material every few minutes to see what is going on in there.

It pressed with minimal effort though. Already learned a lot from that first run.
Thanks!

I have been wanting to get Frenchy out here for a workshop I just don't know many people I could gather up for it, but it seems like the Colorado crew is recognizing him more for the great hash teacher he is. Maybe we can get something together for a workshop in the Rockies/Colorado area soon.
