Is Obama the second coming of Jesus Christ or is he merely Christ-like?

nice try kiddo.

but everyone still has the choice to work and pay taxes or go on welfare and not pay taxes. no one is forced to do either.

you can keep trying to change my words and my arguments, and you undoubtedly will. but it won't change this simple reality.
Oh look, the guy who doesn't bother working is justifying not working...

Surprises abound.

BarryO reminds me of a scam penny stock promoter. His mouth is all he's got, I can't believe he scammed so many suckers into voting for him. People that think he is Christ like are the ones that are easily scammed and laughed at when they realize they have been punked. Next november will be boot in the ass day. Our leadership is a joke that the world laughs at right now...imo

it's a good thing your opinion isn't worth two shits.

Funny. When you measure the worth of shit, are you measuring cat litter encrusted shit in a bud drying room or a steaming pile of Wendy's bathroom floor poo? It's important to quantify the various kinds of shit denominations eh?

This thread = a whole lot of laughs.

The OP was obviously being sarcastic but some people took it right up the arse.

Obama is the anti-christ
He tricked everyone into loving him that is how he got elected, twice.
Now hes using that trust, to destroy Amerika from the inside out.

In other news from Buck, production of potatoes is up 366% from last month; production of grains surged 530%; and it has just been learned that the production of light consumer goods is to be quadrupled from present levels within the next three months. Buck urges you to thank Comrade Stalin for your happy life and the bountiful plenty the workers have obtained embracing Comrades Marx and Lenin, which has transformed the Soviet Union into the greatest and most prosperous nation to ever exist on the Earth.

You want the proof that I'm not changing your argument as you continue to accuse? It's right in your post, Buck! Here you go:

"but everyone still has the choice to work and pay taxes or go on welfare and not pay taxes. no one is forced to do either."

You said everyone. You are talking about the aggregate despite your intellectually dishonest insistence that I'm shoving words in your mouth. Everyone does not have a choice. Everyone cannot possibly have a choice, which everyone knows--because everyone knows its impractical for everyone to be a welfare sponge--and that knowledge is necessarily impounded into decision making about work, which is why what you claim to be a free choice is actually a coerced one.

The vast majority of people don't want to be dependent on government assistance because they realize the potential pitfalls, whether consciously or not. Most of them will labor hard and never get paid shit, but they work on anyway. Why do you think that is? You think people are just passionate about scrubbing toilets, making sandwiches, and mixing drinks? No, they just don't want to be dependent on someone else for their survival. Why? Perhaps they realize the problem with their not doing their part! Perhaps they're nervous about being dependent on everyone else doing their part! Perhaps they fear that too many people following the same path will threaten their survival by making it all unsustainable! The desire to survive is probably the strongest one human beings have, and the vast majority of people realize that government assistance is not a practical long term strategy. Thus they work.

Unemployment rate=7% Number of people wanting a job=10% Welfare rate=3% My numbers may not be perfect but hey, math is math. This is something I've never understood, especially after studying economics. If economies never provide full employment then welfare is the price the tax payer pays to keep some guy from being unable to feed his wife and kids. Isn't that the cost of having civilization? is that not what taxes are for? I've never understood this whole thing of hating on a bunch of poor people who can't find a job and are often fired before they qualify for unemployment insurance. i just don't get it. I must be a retard.

I know people who are on Welfare, don't work legally, don't pay taxes, apply for income tax and food stamps, while still maintaining a off the books 40-50K a year.
Most people take advantage of the system we have in place now.

I know people who even claim homeless people and use their SSN# to apply for credit cards, bank accounts, food stamps, etc.

In my area that's all people do, makes you realize how they can afford their lifestyle of partying like there's no tomorrow, while being able to support yourself and have a roof over your head.

The numbers are skewed no matter how you look at it.

10 Poverty Myths, Busted

1. Single moms are the problem. Only 9 percent of low-income, urban moms have been single throughout their child's first five years. Thirty-five percent were married to, or in a relationship with, the child's father for that entire time.*

2. Absent dads are the problem. Sixty percent of low-income dads see at least one of their children daily. Another 16 percent see their children weekly.*

3. Black dads are the problem. Among men who don't live with their children, black fathers are more likely than white or Hispanic dads to have a daily presence in their kids' lives.

4. Poor people are lazy. In 2004, there was at least one adult with a job in 60 percent of families on food stamps that had both kids and a nondisabled, working-age adult.

5. If you're not officially poor, you're doing okay. The federal poverty line for a family of two parents and two children in 2012 was $23,283. Basic needs cost at least twice that in 615 of America's cities and regions.

6. Go to college, get out of poverty. In 2012, about 1.1 million people who made less than $25,000 a year, worked full time, and were heads of household had a bachelor's degree.**

7. We're winning the war on poverty. The number of households with children living on less than $2 a day per person has grown 160 percent since 1996, to 1.65 million families in 2011.

8. The days of old ladies eating cat food are over. The share of elderly single women living in extreme poverty jumped 31 percent from 2011 to 2012.

9. The homeless are drunk street people. One in 45 kids in the United States experiences homelessness each year. In New York City alone, 22,000 children are homeless.

10. Handouts are bankrupting us. In 2012, total welfare funding was 0.47 percent of the federal budget.

I never claimed I could show you anyone "who is literally forced" to work. Your language suggests people being forcefully enslaved and made to produce. I am talking about coercion that is more subtle than that, driven by survival instincts present in all human beings. And human beings, generally, recognize that dependence is an incredibly poor survival strategy. Accordingly, few are willing to rely on it. This is not actually a free choice, as you have tried to suggest, but one coerced by that innate survival desire.

Truth, no matter how you would like to see it.
You're forced to work, passively forced.

Either work or you'll be fucked in life.

Or you could just be a relatively hot female that rather be a sex slave to some old white man for life than to make a life of your own.
Never understood what is so desirable about being fucked by a old sweaty nasty man?

can you show me one single example of the government literally forcing its citizens to help the poor?

apparently you can't.
If you require your citizens to pay taxes and you have a tax-funded social welfare system, you are a government forcing citizens to help the poor. Jesus wanted this to be voluntary. He wanted individuals to voluntarily sell their possessions and give the money to poor.

Gotta admit I found the ash stuff funny.

I don't mean white people in general, I just mean the fact that women go after the rich cornballs who otherwise would have no chance at the girl. Most of them are nasty, sweaty, and disgusting.
White people are the majority so I had to use them as an example.

Too easy.

The people that don't qualify for welfare.

Nail, Hit, Head, Hard.

I'm starting to not expect a challenge in debates.
