Down Light order stopped after a lengthy phone call this morning with BML- a very sophisticated led lighting company

Instead of me getting the 5 Ali down lights, BML is going to send me 2 x 3ft @ 2700K light bars to supplement my 3500/5000 ufo 90s

They have a rather extensive lighting background in large commercial situations

It will be worth anyone's while to spend some time on their site

Their Spyder 600 is designed for a 4 x 4 BUT he is going to make one with a 2 ft spine for me to evaluate in place of my hot5 Bad Boy

Individual bars you select the length and lens angle (optical quality)

and here comes the orgasm. This program allows the grower to select their own spectrums and see exactly how they will look, how much CCT, CRI, and an actual graph. A custom made light. Oh my.

7th day from placing seedlings in bubbler

The runt is so far behind that it will likely get the hook, but for now it has finally started growing, so will see.

Roughly 1 .5 liter of water has evaporated

Refill nute ppm 300ppm.

Root Update

Here's what happens when roots are trimmed early on; fish bones are developing along the tap root, which provides more surface area for nutes to be taken up. I trimmed again, but maybe only once more

I like using a couple far red chips do they offer any and what about blue chips? Ive heard blue will give you better node spacing. Far red is used in late flowering to help ripen I believe. I also have two UV LEDs one is UV-A and one UV-B they will make trichomes explode.

You may feel differently after reading this study

Actual study link at the bottom of the graph page, but it's not clicking through for me. I alerted BML

VERY interesting testing done by utah state!!! http://cpl.usu.edu/files/publications/factsheet/pub__368986.pdf these guys tested the highest on led panels http://www.lsgc.com/ can't find any horticultural products on their site, also apache doesn't fair well in this study BUT it's using their old panel(at120wr).

Boulder lamp cmh fixture/philips 315w is new to me as well http://www.boulderlamp.com/specs/BLI Grow Light 4 page brochure 6_14_12.pdf

I noticed it was the At120, but it was an independent study by the University

Man the BML site is nice, glad you suggested to visit I like the fact you can totally customize the LED the only thing I think they could do better would be to allow you to specify the LEDs they use and the drivers so you could control how much power goes to each diode, ex, running a CXA3070 30w chip you could tell them to use only 15-20w to increase the diode life.

Now that the babies have decent processing plants (leafs) I raised them ~ 8" closer to the lens-less ufos

Pic is from before raising them

Will raise them again by days end

Also, I adjusted light schedule from 24/0 > 20/4

and refilling 200ppm nutes with 300ppm

Pic of the dried result from the hot5 tent. Placed in jars 2 days ago after ~ 2week drying in heavy shopping bags

I just sampled a pinch from the led tent ~ 2 months cure: very heady, while relaxing my body. Mona Lisa smile
