from personal experience plants FROM SEED can be put out around the first of april without risk or front or flower/reveg. clones however, cant be put out for at least another month (when ever the hours of light are above 14 hours).

Im in sw FL. Excited to catch this topic. I have autos just goin outside now. And I have some african sativas I thought I start in about first days of june. Should I try a couple indicas too for earlier flowering and plant around end of april?

I always get that mixed up...when very stoned...

You are right of course. Equinox is when we begin photo-period flowering, yep.
Correct me if I'm wrong but it depends on it being indica or sativa. Sativas will veg and flower as normal, an indica won't, at least not with our light hours.

If you have autos, put them out as soon as possible. The more sun you can get while they flower should do them well.
Why grow autos in FL?
There should be no need to worry about having to finish quickly, unless you are in far north FL.
South Fl provides me with the climate to grow out the very best of the best, including pure hazes and sativas.
Just MHO!

because the earlier you start the earlier you got buds in your hand ;)

I accomplish this with my container plants by simply moving them inside for dark cycle to begin flowering when I want to.
Of course I do realize that all of you cannot do this, as the plants need to be portable...
But from what I have read, autos, in general, do not provide the same potency.
Quality is my primary goal.
However, I have never grown an auto, as I see no reason to grow an inferior product.
If I am wrong, please elucidate.

Well its kindof like dro says. Think about it this way. Autos = bud in 70 ish days . A good sativa started in June, bud in 150-180 days. Autos would give you " bud in your hands " while your " quality " plant is still in veg.

I'm not sure what that means ! Indicas do just fine here and maybe better in some instance as they are not subjected to the elements as long as true sativas. Quicker flower time means less time subjected to our not so generous rain fall. Good luck !

Well I've got my first autos gettin prepared for extended stay in the sun. Im gonna run two different African landrace sativas in late may And maybe an indica the same time or so. Does that sound ok?

Ive run plenty sativa dominant strains but never 100 % stats. I've started as early as late Feb and had them reveg. Really don't like the reveg much !. Its a hastle!. I'd wait . You could get away with starting them now, or maybe the end of month, but you will have huge plants that will require more care and will get extreamly huge. Huge trees require a lot more maintenance and are subjected to mother nature and all that she has to offer. I have seen sativa dominant strains put out as late as July and get 6 ft with great results. Again , its strain dependent, I would wait ! I will have most mine out June 1 !
This is just my opinion as there will be others that have a different perspective. Good luck !
