Hey Everyone

I can't seem to figure out the problem with these leaves. I checked this website
http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=11688
and NOTHING looks like what I have. I'm thinking POSSIBLY Pottasium, Calcium, or Magnesium, but deficiency or over-nuting?

They have not been getting huge loads of water or nutrients, so I think they are fine on that end. WHAT ARE THESE BRONZY, BROWNISH, paint-splotch looking spots?? They seem to affect only the older growth, and are on most of the top of the leaf.

THANKS ALL!
Keep Checkin my Grow Journal...Hydroponic 10x10, Blueberries, Big Bud, and Mystery Sativas.
15....soon to be more, fat little girlies.

I agree that PH could be the issue, or maybe Mag deficiency. I would diffently start with PH.

I was just about to post a thread with he SAME problem, My plants are having the same discoloring on the center of the leafs, I'm not trying to hijack your thread, but if you figure out what the problem is, please let me know, and I will do the same.

So hard to diagnose because it has the bronzy colors and the curled up leaves, brown tips. Even brown tips on some new growth.

here are some pics of mine. They are in DWC, they are on GH 3 mart flora nutes, 3-2-1 Ratio, also with Diamond nectar. They are in their first week of flower, but haven't been switched to flower ratio yet. I test the PH of every bucket every day, and half the time don't have to add any PH down. I also have been checking the PPM (they were all at around 900 a week ago, but have been steady going down, they are all around 800 or lower now) Been adding about 2 or so gal between all 6 buckets a day.

I had this exact same problem with my grow. It turned out to be MG deficiency, I added a teaspoon of Epsom salt and two week later it was gone.

have you checked for mites?
Not sure what they would look like but I dont see any pests on my girls right now. I will go do a thorough check. There are alot of bugs/spiders in my basement, and we have these visible, pretty large mites around the house that creep in through the front door sometimes...nasty little f-ers.

I don't think they want the plants yet......

Ok let's stick together on this one. What are you going to do?

I just replenished my nutes, and not using the seaweed combined this time. I will start to spray my leaves w/ fresh H20 when the lights are off.

I think it may be magnesium..lots of people are saying that. It could be an OVER-nute of Mag though.....hmmmmm..

Whats ur PH/Temp/Humidity?
PPM should be around 800-1000 i think
:joint::weed:let stay positive. urs look WONDERFUL!

I just swapped my nutes out yesterday, still on "aggressive growth"(3-2-1-Plus 2 diamond nector) ratio (according to GH's chart) it is the flora series. All buckets around 1000 PPM. I think they might not have been getting enough nutes, I was topping off the water everyday and MY PPMs were dropping 50-100 a day. switched to HPS 12/12 about a week ago. they are getting very Bushy, but the spotting on the leaves is getting worse. I adust the PH to 5.8 daily. My res temps are around 67 and my room temps are around 75-80, with fans (and a vent van) runng 24/7. and humidity has been hanging around 35-40%

Nice perhaps you need to flush/ remove the salt build up? I just got this stuff that you run through your plants with water for an hour or so and it flushes out the built-up salt and nutes. Like starting from fresh, then you give a new batch of nutes. This also takes out the possibility of LOCKED out nutes, like calcium or mag, which we could also have an abundance of.

The gal at the hydro said your plants will worship you for it!!!! I'm going to try doing it and see what happens.

Are u treating w/ Cal/Mag? My humidity is about 40-65 most of the time, and I think they like it in this range more.

You sound like you are doing everything right....maybe just deficient little girls

have not been using calmag, no other supplements besides the GH flora series and the diamond nectar. I have been looking into the mg deficiency though, and from what I read here:
http://www.gardenscure.com/420/soil-ph/27653-ph-magnesium-deficiency.html

that it may be a lockout of mg due to ph staying to low, they recomend letting it swing up to around 6 or so, so that mg becomes avalible. This could be the cause of my trouble, as I have been checking and keeping ph right at 5.8 daily, mabye I could let it ride for a few days and let the ph rise a bit and see if it helps.
btw how are your girls doing? Hopefully better :weed:

What kind of water are you using? RO, Tap...

and why no Cal-Mag? I would think that would help.
Sorry, they are on RO water,
and like the person in that link I posted was saying, that it might be because of mg not being available to the plant when you keep the PH low, and instead he suggested letting it swing up to around 6 so that more nutes are becoming available.

My guess would be a mg deficency also however if your using CO2, it could be that they're getting CO2 burn by being too close to the CO2 source.
