This summer hubby and I decided to go out east to Newfoundland as that is where hubby is from. We haven't been on a vacation since 1993 so it has been a while. Why we decided to make it the inlaws I will never know but so be it.

We left July 24th in the afternoon as we were not ready to leave, with a canoe but after 1 hour of driving turned around and decided to come back. Later hubby found out from his brother that he did not have the canoe tied on right.

It rained the entire trip except for a coup[le of days where we saw some sun. One of the days was when we were at peggy's cove nb.

We have 2 cameras but I can only download off of one of them at the moment.

One camera is a canon powershot A570 and the opther is a Panasonic Lumix (12x)

The first day or so we didn't take any pictures because it was just too miserable and we travelled all night the first night.

The first place we took some pictures was in fredericton NB. We stopped at a little motel and went for a walk along an old trail tressel which the military had made into a walkway. it is very nice as I love to walk.

I went on many nice walks and the dogs just loved it.

I am not a very social person but can strike up a conversation with just about anyone. There were not a lot of people I shared a conversation with but I did meet a few friendly folks most of which were bikers. I'm not sure why. Maybe because I'm a biker myself and biked across Canada years ago.

This was the only bright sunny day we had and it was a scorcher.
The dogs were even hot and when one of them went to get a drink and tasted salt water, she was not impressed.

It looked hilarious and some chinese people and a muslin woman laughed as did we.

The scenery is beautiful. I was quite panicky at this point since there were so many tourists but it didn't become a full panic attack.

This day was a very memorable one not only because the sun came out but because there were so many beautiful sites to see and my senses were peaked to the max. The salty sea air, the sound of the gulls. Did you know that there is no such thing as a seagull? There are only gulls and seagull just became a name that was added by the sea folk. Just a tad of unless knowledge that I happen to be full of.

I loved the scenery. There are more pictures but I will have to wait to find the connector tomorrow to download them.

Its hard not to get a good picture with this kind of scenery.
Some of these pictures are where hubby grew up.
When I heard my hubby tell his long time friend that he couldn't see him I was crushed. It just didn't feel right so when our vehicle broke down, I was almost relieved. At least we did not break down hald way across the province. We were driving in the middle of the night so it could have been quite dangerous PLUS there was a huge accident on the transcanada just up from where we were going.
It turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Seeing them reunite after 19 years was genuinely heart-warming. His friend cried and hubby almost did.

Hey lacy, nice pics.See now you keep saying your trouble but i can tell you are a warm kind soul (good people).You may not be old in people years but youve got a warm old soul.Hope your not freaked out.Im a bit of a old dead head hippy so i say that kinda stuff.Any way how was all that hash??

Yeah I enjoyed the scenery. That was inspiring for sure. Now I am inspired to do some art work from some of my pics but my back is REALLY bad. I am so doped up right now I am surprised I can actually still type.
I 've done a lot of bike touring myself so know the unique feeling of freedom it brings. Its not like we became buddies but just had an instant recognition...so to speak.
If you are a biker, you just know what I mean.

I have so many pictures I am not quite sure how to present them.
