I have a fascination with the 2 cycle internal combustion engine, not a sexual inadequacy. This stems from riding the chainsaw since I was about 7 years of age....the Kawasaki KX80....then the now seemingly extinct 125 and 250.

Two or four stroke....hell electric even; Harley or import nothing can compare to the sensory overload and learned or inherent ability to apply physics, as riding on two wheels.....its fun.

Any other bikers here? Any moto GP, WSB, AMA fans out there? Weather you like to drag a knee or whip a triple.....perhaps tour the country; if you like to do it on two wheels lets talk about it:bigjoint::bigjoint:

How about this kid qualifying for 250B at Loretta's on a 1985 CR250....drum brakes, non-inverted forks and all.

I just took a trip from Georgia to Wisconsin, back to GA, Down to the Keys, and Back to GA on a 2003 Yam V-star 650. Rode 2up the whole way.
Can't wait to go out west. :bigjoint:

Two years ago I sold my FLHT that took me coast to coast :(

Ohh the Electra Glide, I was on a list back in the day for a standard in black, preffered the handling over the softail RK....I'm sorry for your loss CB going to find a replacement soon?

The Keys sounds like a rad trip and is on my bucket list soon as I get back east.....this valkyrie is begging me to do a 2up coast to coast though......your ass is made of iron good sir.

I think my name says it all
It says plenty....however it does not tell me if you are bound by any traction control or ride by wire......if your swingarm has been extended......or if you have any chicken strips or not:bigjoint:

Mine was the Standard as well. I agree that the handling is worlds better than the Softails and on par with the Dynas. No; I'm not looking to buy a replacement any time soon ... money reasons. I'd be interested in the R-series Beemers ... I'm not up on the models but they make a nice road&terrain 650 iirc. I'd like one such with the all-day tank.

Best bang for the buck adventure machine in my experience is the KLR650....once the doohickey is fixed that thing is a bulletproof tank....Beemer guys are some of the most hardcore riders I have ever encountered....they look as if they did 1000 miles this day....and they probably did.

I have my Iron Butt T-shirt from my thousand-mile day. Did that less than a year after my big trip. Shiite but that was 10 years ago now! ~makes creaking sounds~

Blasted wheels and frame
Powdered frame
Painted wheels
2006 F4i body
Custom designed and laser cut under tail
CBR954 taillight
Full Akrapovic exhaust

indeed a nice machine! I am of a slower bent.

And then one sees stuff like this ... a 5-liter (yup.) V-Twin made from a slice of Merlin aero engine! Only the Aussies ...

That looks like it would ....ahem....propeller nicely down the road indeed. Even Burt Munro would surely approve.
